For the form I-864 where it asks for current household income, I have indicated the totals from 2009. For tax return information, I have provided the most recent return from 2008. There has been an increase in income over the past year. Should the total household income be the 2008 amount or should I use the 2009 amount, for which I do not yet have tax returns? I am just a little confused and would like to get this out tomorrow. The numbers really do not matter as they are far above the 125% poverty line so it isn't an issue in that respect.

Thank you in advance. Can't wait to get this finished.

If you haven't filed your 2009 returns, you can use your 2008 returns.

Put your current income, that will be proven with a letter from your employer - and/or paystubs.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
