I called the USCIS for not receiving the fingerprint letter, its has been 1 month and 22 days since i received the NOA, when i called she asked me for some info about me and she submitted a service request and she told i m supposed to hear from the office in 45 days, i asked her if i can go to the local office and have my fingerprints done and she said now i cant since i submitted a service request. Can i still go and have my fingerprint done? what will expect from the service request?? has anybody experienced this? thanks a lot for your help.

You need to have the biometrics appointment letter in hand in order to get your fingerprints taken. The letter has your identifying information and the instructions about what type of biometrics you need, so if you don't have it available, you can't walk in and get your biometrics done. Wait for the letter - I expect you will hear something soon.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Never heard of that, the biometrics letter comes from above, and without that letter, won't even let you in. Did you have biometrics in the last 15 months? They may use those instead, but they don't tell you. I know from this board that all field offices operate differently, I did have questions to the guy that took my wife's fingerprints, he said he doesn't know anything, just works there. But needs that letter to properly process your prints. Could try and see what happens.

Yes, we can do that, if after 2 months and u still haven't got anything, then make an Infopass talk to an officer about your situation and he will help u schedule an appointment and give u a yellow/white sheet contains date and time to go fg.
