This is actually a really great point about baggage allowance.. I'm going out in April to grab a few of my sweetie's bags so that she'll have less to carry through when she comes to see me.. She lives in Davao, so I'll have her fly Mabuhay to Manila the day before, then it's 7:30 AM from Manila to Tokyo.. And then Tokyo to NYC.. Can't wait..

I actually plan to to go meet my girl in Cebu to help with her travel back here, coz I don't want her to do this alone and I will bring no bags and we can use mine and her baggage allowance. I know she wants to bring as much of her clothes and personal things as possible.

To OP, since you're not meeting her, you may want to check and see what overweight or extra bag cost with your airline. She'll be pretty down if she has to leave some favorite things behind.
