Hey! Congrats! I hope CSC can do that for me in 5 months

Bohol??? Wow! I'll be in Bohol next week with my baby!! Where did you stay? We are staying in Panglao at some apartment resort.

Good luck with the future!!

Panglao is a nice beach. Her Pangpang is on the other side of Bohol, Candijay is the main town.

From Tagbilaran its a 3 hour bus ride or 2.5 hour van ride to her parents house. We spent plenty of time in Tagbilaran, Panglao.. Going to ICM or BQ is fun if you want to relax in a mall. In Tagbilaran i stayed at Bohol Tropics (which is nice, but expensive), Charisma Lodge (cheap but, dumpy)... We also stayed in Jagna at the Garden Cafe (IDEA Pension House)... Most of the time though, we stayed at her family's house by the sea in her Pangpang. There was a nice sea-breeze in the pagoda.

That sounded like a really nice trip and vaction with your sweety! My girl is from Cebu, but I'm taking her mom and brother to Bohol for few days to see Chocolate hills and Loboc river..and that big honking snake! We're taking ferry from Cebu and stay at a place called Alona Studios in Panglao where we have a 2 bedroom apartment for a few nights. It's owned by Swedish folks (I supposed there seem to be lots of Swedes and Australians in that area??).

Oh and more congrats to you to get CSC done in 66 days!! That gives other CSC'ers a bit of hope! I'm turning my 129 to CSC this month and hope I can get close to 66 days out of them!

Good luck and enjoy!!

Just a word of advice, send your fiance through the visitor's line and you go on to the citizen's line. You'll get yelled at (like I was) if you bring her through the citizen's line.

We did POE at LAX, and I brought Ann Marie through the USC line with me, no problem. They did notice we only knew each other ~10 months and made a comment, but stamped the I-94 just the same.

Congratulations to you both! To Ana: Welcome to the U.S.!

I can remember when you have just started the petition months ago.

It's good to know that things have been quick and smooth for you. AOS is up next.

There are actually 2 snakes in Bohol... Prony is the longest - 27 feet I think?? and Samantha is the biggest.. She's just obese... I recommend seeing both. I think its 5 pesos for entry on both. Cheap entertainment.

Choco Hills are awesome, and i recommend going to Sagbayan peak.. Or just taking a full tour of Bohol. They'll take you to see Tarsiers, the river, the snakes, the hills and the peak...

Yeah there are a lot of foreign owned resorts on Panglao... Hope you have fun! I'm broke for a while so it will be several months before we go back. Maybe a year.

I don't know. Maybe i just got a crabby officer. He was POed at me.

Thanks everyone for the congrats. I wish you all the best.

Still can't believe she's here. We went to the CFO together in Cebu (of course I slept on a bench outside for most of the day. I thought it would be a couple hours, ended up being the entire day).

We received the visa while I was there, and used Chicago as our port of entry before flying to Detroit. We're now here in Indiana, and I am so happy she is here.

Thanks to VJ for all your advice and information. She went through immigration pretty quick despite the fact that she accidentally opened the plastic envelope holding her packet of info. She didn't open the brown envelope, but it clearly says not to open either one. They didn't even care about it. The immigration officer seemed perturbed that we were getting married after knowing eachother 10 months. he didn't seem to think it was enough time, but he stamped her passport and sent us on our way.

Just a word of advice, send your fiance through the visitor's line and you go on to the citizen's line. You'll get yelled at (like I was) if you bring her through the citizen's line.

WOW!God is really GOOD all the time!Congratulations!!!

It also took Claudeth the entire day for the CFO in Cebu. I think she went to the office at about 7:30 and finally got her stamp at about 7pm that evening. She already had a ticket to fly out the next day so had to get it done.

We just asked which line to go in together - they let us both go through the visitors line. Its very unlikely that they would make you go through separate lines.

Congrats!

I must have bad luck then!

The guy was ticked off! And it was a bit scary that he would give me problems.
