any age difference, if there is, how many years?

Just five years difference. Not much. He and I also are both educated college graduates. He got the blonde american lady.

What is the denial reason stated on the letter they gave to your fiancee?

There is no reason stated on the paper. It is just stamped denied- to be returned to USCIS for case denial.

How did you get a second interview? What can I do? He was issued a 221-g. I have already called my congressman and they say they will e-mail the Consulate. What else can I do to get this looked at again? We had so much evidence and they didn't care and he was so nervous.

Tracyandnabil,

Your guess is as good as mine. I want to say GOD. But on a serious note my fiancee was flat out denied. NO AP NO AR. Denied. I called my senators office that same day. She said that she can only inquiry about our case but we were not guaranteed a second interview. Im dealing with a tough consulate: Lagos Consulate. What so funny is that they sent my senators office a later dated december 31 that they already gave us a second interview for January 14. I want to say goodluck that I inherited from my mom. Divine intervention.

I responded to your PM with links which are present in my signature. Many have already said it, and it does hold true with Casablanca. This is a high fraud post, many petitions/applications are returned for review along with a recommendation for revocation.

It is very sad, and I hate to say it but this seems to be the only tool they utilize to fight the fraud they see on a daily basis. I suspect this is why they are rude and treat many beneficiaries as if they were criminals. This certainly isn't how they have been trained to handle cases, but this is how they're handling many of them.

What burns me is the fact that many of these consular officers are immigrants themselves, so they KNOW the beneficiary is nervous and it is used to their advantage during the interview process. On the flip-side of this coin, it burns me even more to know that those who attemt to immigrate under false intentions are the reason it is this way, we have them to personally thank for the hard time we have faced.

You have already contacted your congressman, but as another said, try to go over each question from the interview with your fiance. Try to determine what you think may be the issue. If your congressman has this information on hand, they can attempt pushing to have this issued addressed before the petition is returned by providing your fiance a chance to address it head on. Also, calling the consulate may be a better avenue for your congressman, not an email.

Even if your file is returned in the end, it is well worth the effort to try and stop it. I know of 2 who have stopped their file from being returned by this consulate, and in both cases a visa was issued.

I absolutely know all too well this is hard, it physically hurts and you have already waited to be together only to have this happen. Try focusing your anger, anxiety and frustration on the tasks at hand.

It should however give you some hope to know that there are others who have been through exactly what you are going through right now, and many of us have been reunited.

When this happened to us in 2006, there were literally 2 other VJ members who were also going through the same. There is now a large number of us and we have stuck together, pooling our experiences, and arming those who are faced with the issue with information they need to understand what happens and what their options might be.

Sorry to hear you were denied. Just move to Morocco. I would have moved to Peru if my fiancee waas denied.

Visa denied! OMG! My fiancee went for his K-1 interview today. We had everything.....phone calls every single day....500 pages of e-mails.....proof of my visit to Morocco.....pictures of me with him and with his family......I make way more than enough money......I had everything. But they denied the visa. He said they were rude and questioning him rudely and made him very nervous and then they said......no visa! Omg. I have waited so long! What now!!???!!! What can I do. I am in tears! :help:

Sorry to hear you were denied. Just move to Morocco. I would have moved to Peru if my fiancee waas denied.

Kil I know you have good intentions, but people have careers that they just can't walk away from. But I think it was a beutiful thing to move to Peru. However, if people have responsibilities like bills, that have to get paid inorder to keep your credit score good. My advice would be not to go to Morocco and live unless you have made appropiate arrangements back here that won't ruin your life here there if you go. So think about that seniro really hard and long.

I married my fiance 3wks after they sent my K1 petition back from Morocco, and it only took us 4mos to get everything approved and have him here with me in the states on a CR1 Visa. So don't listen to people that tell you that you have to wait to find out. HOG WASH. The CR1 is a new petition so you can file it without waiting for them to come up with a decision about your K1. Myself and brooklyn on this site both got denied around the sametime and we both went and married our men around the same time last year this time, and both of our men are here with us. I just want you to know that it doesn't end here ok. I too had a strong case. I am an educated woman, and my husband who was my fiance at the time felt like they didn't feel he was good enough for me. I would start looking at all the paperwork you will need to go and get married, and start making that plan to go to Morocco and get married and refile your CR1 case. I didn't wait to see what was wrong because I know my man, and I also know that there were no fraud in our relationship. If ALLAH wants you to marry on your husband soil then my dear go and do so. PM anytime you like to and I will be happy to talk with you.

He got the blonde american lady.
She's infamous. For a while, I was wondering whether she'd been transferred to Ecuador. Sorry that [1] yours is still there, and [2] there are TWO such now.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Quoted from GoldenGate (who quoted from a US web site)

* We will treat you with dignity and respect, even if we are unable to grant you a visa.

---seems that this did not happen from what you've said

* We will treat you as an individual and your case as unique.

---seems that your fiancé was not treated as an individual (mentioning actions of a brother is immaterial to him as an individual) and, therefore, the case was also not treated as unique (if it is being used as a stop-gap to end fraud----which is ongoing and not unique by any stretch)

* We will remember that, to you, a visa interview may be a new or intimidating experience and that you may be nervous.

---somehow this was twisted around to show a different light

Just mentioning these things that I noticed in case you can use them in discussions / pleadings with US officials who may be able to help you.

All I can offer is my sympathy but I hope that it all works out for you. Maybe marrying and then going the CR1 route may be a better option for you.

I am also worried that London will take this view of our relationship as it has not even been a year yet but we are both sure and determined that it is what we want and we hate to be apart from one another. Hopefully the duration of the relationship will not count against us.
