He says it says not bonafide relationship. He says they didn't like that 7 years ago his borther also came on a K-1 to America and now is no longer married to his wife. That has nothing to do with us!!! I am so heartbroken I don't know what to do.

in order to know how to proceed, have him scan in the sheet of paper and email it to u. it is only by determining what the reason for denial is will let you know your options. also, i would highly recommend reading the pinned topic at the top of the MENA forum. if the case does go back to uscis, you may be in for a long road. it took us 14 months from our original k1 interview to get to our cr1 interview. but like i stated earlier, find out what went on. what questions were asked. if there was any questions asked that your fiance was unsure of, etc. sorry about the situation, but rest assured, if the relationship is genuine, you will win :star:

I am so sad to hear this, Tracy. I can't offer much concrete advice like some of the other very informed and helpful members can in terms of what to do next from an administration standpoint, but I can offer my sympathy for your situation. Casa is SO difficult, sometimes so arbitrary, and it seems to make no sense in how they determine their rulings. People with tons of evidence like yourself get denied, others with little evidence sail on through. Where is the consistency?? As our own interview draws closer in a few weeks, I am so keenly aware of the anxiety that our Moroccan fiances feel about having to go to Casablanca, feeling like it is a firing squad. You know, there is a mission statement that the U.S. govt has issued concerning visa applicants, and when I find my copy I am going to post it here. In a nutshell, it says that all visa applicants will be treated with respect and dignity, each application will be thoughtfully and objectively reviewed, and if a denial is issued, it will be clearly explained and with compassion. In my opinion, the officials in Casablanca need to be reminded of this, because it seems that too many of their actions go contrary to that statement!!

I wish I had more words of comfort or advice for you, but knowledge is power, so learn all you can about what you have to do next, and start right away to do whatever is necessary to move your case forward. I wish you and Nabil all the best, and hope that the strength of your love will be the power that is needed to overcome your disappointment. Stay strong, and I hope you get some answers very soon!!

All the best,

~Beth

Do you see how big the sea is?

Do you see how big the sea is? My love for you is as big as the sea.

Do you see how far the sky is? My love for you is as far as the sky.

As big as the sea and as far as the sky I love you,

I waited for you, I called upon you, I drew you on the promenades,

You sorrow of my life, you tears of the flowers, you season of the birds,

How vast the forest is, my heart is as vast as the forest.

You who are drawn on my door, and drawn in my heart,

I waited for you a year, and throughout the year I would ask the walnut trees,

and I would see you in the sunny days, coming from the sunny days, and lost in the almond leaves,

How small is a tear, and I am just a tear in your way,

I want to vow a candle so that you would let me love you.

It's unfortunately not an uncommon occurance out of casa. On the plus side, with so many people being denied, the VJ community has lots of experience dealing with it. Visit this thread here in the MENA forum and inshaAllah you'll be able to talk with some people who've overcome a denial

Thanks, Golden Gate! I couldn't readily find it while I was at work but had it bookmarked on my home computer.

Is it just me, or does Casa not seem to follow those guidelines, especially in the cases where visas are denied?? It seems that many of the stories our Moroccan loved ones tell after the interviews are the same: the consulate employees are rude, abrupt, intimidating.....it seems very discriminatory to me, and certainly not in keeping with their stated Customer Service policy. Yeah, my feathers are ruffled. I guess it's like a mama bear feeling that instinct of protectiveness for everyone who has to deal with the bull%#&@ in Casa....
