I know how you feel about baby corner. I am the "bad" mom there who didnt breastfeed, who didnt use organic, who vaccinated their kid on schedule, who didnt cosleep, and who went to work after 5 weeks. However, I dont let it bother me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and it doesnt get too heated. Ive made great friends there regardless of what we DONT have in common, we all have babies and thats what matters..

hi sara!!

i can understand why you'd want to hang on to every last strand then. i broke down and cut the front of ayah's into bangs to keep it from tickling her nose all the time. it's getting really long in the back though. i love the new pic of amirah! she's such a doll. does her hair curl at all? ayah's is mostly straight, except for this one patch on the back of her head that gets curly. it gets all frizzy from laying back in her carseat.

same thing exactly here - a few curls in the back but honestly I expected her hair to be much darker and much curlier.

Kelly, I am a total beliver in doing what you think is right when it comes to your own kids - trying to force yourself to do or be something that just isnt you doesnt do anyone any favors, including your children. The only thing I really try to stick to with my kids is to buy as much organic food as I can, and try to limit the sugar to a low roar...

I think that term is a matter of conjecture.. Zaid looks like a really happy kid to me, and that's all that really matters.. ;)

Jenn. my twin sis drives up here all the time and she is about a 2.5 hour car ride. Her lil man is 5 months old and no joke out of like 30 trips back and forth he has never not slept the entire time. I use to panic about the car bc of Zaids colic but it seems to put babies in this nice little trance! lol. Good Luck!

We are sooo excited to be going to this indoor waterpark this afternoon. I am shopped, packed, and ready to go! Its so fun doing things like this with Zaid. He is gonna have a blast, I just know it, and in case he doesnt.....I brought lolipops. lol I think when were all done with the waterpark and go back to our hotel room, Im gonna fill up the 4 man jacuzzi, get me and Zaid in our bathing suits, and play with his bath paints in there. lol.

Does everyone's kids call their dads baba or daddy?

I've always called my husband daddy to our son, husband's never called himself baba to him. Are we abnormal?

My husband calls the baby Daddy. I don't know why :) He doesn't refer to himself as anything, but I refer to him as Daddy, so we'll just wait and see what the baby decides to call him.

Hope he sleeps. Rayan usually does, especially if the road is bumpy. He doesn't like stoplights. He had one episode where he was overtired and cried for the last stretch despite nursing breaks, but I may try swaddling his arms if that happens again -- that still comforts him. These days, I velcro a musical toy bar to the handle of his car seat and he plays with that, and I attach a mirror to the back seat so we can see each other. Both seem to help. I remember that Adam is talking to his toys. Is he also grasping them?

Zaid uses them interchangeably as well...

Mehdi is soooooo cute!!!

Thank you! So is Zaid... and Mehdi loves his pic, btw.

On two separate occassions when I was scrolling through posts,he saw his picture and started this big fake laugh and pointing.

I asked him if he wanted to play with that little boy in the picture and he shook his head no (which is his way of saying yes). lol.

This made me laugh out loud. That is too funny!

We both use "bubba" as a nickname, which sounds a lot like baba, so I'm sure it will get confusing!

Adam has always slept in the car, but the most we've driven is a half hour. I'll let y'all know how it goes!

He's not grabbing his toys yet, not enough control. He does swat at them though. I have some toys to put on the car seat - thanks for the reminder! I also got a cute mirror with a monkey on it. He'll probably stare at that for a good while...
