Documents with husband s name?

Hello everybody,

It has been a long time I don't post here. Please apollogise my abscense.

I have read the guides of VJ, but I still have some questions.

This week I am going to send my Remove of condititions and as I looked for my evidences I couldnt find any other bill with my name, except the tax return and the car s insurance (which both have our names).

The other bills have only my husband s name (I have fought during these two years with him and his mother about to have my name on the bills which I pay them with my work and job.

Now the only thing I really can count for is the letter that my husband s friend will sign and holidays cards.

I have only 3 friends that they don`t know my husband, because I dont hang out with them for lack of time and money.

What should I do then? What should I send?

The 2-year GC was introduced to cut down on immigration fraud, where people only marry in order to get a green card but don't live together. In order to remove the condition attached to the card, the couple still has to be married an live together at the time of ROC. Additionally, the I-751 has to be filed jointly, by both of them.

1) Are you still married?

2) Do you still live together?

3) Do you file jointly?

If you can answer all three questions in the positive, you will be approved.

Now . . . they would like to see some proof that you guys intermingled finances and living. Tax returns are a big plus, car insurance is good as well. Do you have anything else, perhaps AAA card, car registration, credit or bank card, photos showing you and your husband at Christmas, or birthdays, or vacations?

Send them what you got, as you can't send them anything you don't have. Does that make sense? Usually, answering "yes" to the above 3 questions is 90% approval. The tax returns are another 5%. So what you are dealing with is the last 5%, of which the car insurance is another 1%. If you got any photos and perhaps one other item, everything should go smoothly for you.

I don't mean to imply anything here, but are you not being treated fairly? Why did you say you have to fight to add your name on the bills. If you pay for them, then you can show that your income (by showing it on the bank statements) and paying the bills and that will be as good evidence as any.
