VeeNDee, good luck on preparing while waiting for the place to really prepare. Exciting that you will close on a house and be moving before the baby comes.

Marilyn, how exciting that your crib has come in. When do you get to "recieve" the crib as I remember you were asking about whether you needed to act "surprised or not" at your shower where I think you are getting it?

AFM, DH has been on the "must clean babies are coming" drive that began on July 14. This weekend July 21 was "clean the front porch day". It does look so much better having gotten stuff to the curb and other stuff on craigslist to sell. I am excited that the two things DH thought would "never sell because no one will want them" sold. Granted the things I thought people would want, no one has contacted me about. Now I have a little cash to put toward some new maternity shirts :) Two days until we find out the babies genders!

my shower is on August 10th.

My FIL who said he would buy us the crib knows I ordered and paid for it.. He supposedly is going to pay us back. If he does he does. It was still a great deal on a crib.

Realistically I could already have here at our place but I know my SIL wants to have it there for the shower..

grrr, I still have not received the ready for pick up email. It has been sitting at the store since 9:30am yesterday. How much effort does it take to scan it into the system?? ranting33va.gif

In other news, I am so tired. It is partially my fault because I went to bed around midnight and my husband had to get up at 3:30am. But when I tried to get back to sleep after that some stupid Braxton Hicks contractions kept me up... :(

Dh is very excited. I was hoping for at least one girl but I am happy with two boys. There have been no male uncles of my husband that had sons so my DH is the last to carry on the family name.

We are looking at airplane stuff for decorations. DH is super excited about that.

grrr, still no "pick up" email.. It did say ready for pick-up between the 25th and 31st so I guess I will give them to Wednesday. But this is the last time I am ordering something site to store. I should have just paid the $10 to have it shipped to my house. It would probably be here already :P

I did send an email and they basically told me what I already knew that it was delivered to the store already. :P

That sounds awesome!! I am now supposedly getting a shower mid September..although I think the people from Canada won't make it and my husband's family is a little estranged so it will probably be pretty small. I had someone tell me you shouldn't have a baby shower till after the baby is here because something might happen and then the gifts aren't needed. I did NOT need to hear that!! I started to give them a piece of my mind but reined it in a little to be polite... uh hello...if I am going to get gifts, if I don't have them before the baby comes I'll just have to buy them myself. Sigh.... Oh well we'll see how it goes. 29 weeks today!

Marilyn glad you got to the bottom of your crib saga.

Autumnal sorry to hear that finding furniture has been over the top price wise. My DH and I looked at Babies r us and were unimpressed with the pricesand quality.

veendee, I hope your shower is all sorts of fun when it finally happens. How rude that you were told you should wait until the baby is born, of course you need baby stuff now, not later.

I guess my SIL's SIL suggested that I have the shower after the baby is born so my parents can be there. They are coming for a week or two shortly after the baby is born. First off I need some stuff before the baby gets here and second there is no way in heck I want to attend a big party a week or so after I give birth.. wacko.png
