Oh that looks so cute!! Makes me want to get the same one :) We haven't bought anything yet so we'll see. What are your plans for a changing table? Are you getting a matching one? Are you just going to use a counter or a dresser? I am not sure myself.

That is very similar to the one i chose here: http://www.toysrus.com/buy/nursery/cribs/convertible-cribs/storkcraft-tuscany-4-in-1-stages-crib-espresso-04588-499-3711242

My only issue is that when i put it on my list it was 179$, and the grandparents are QQing over the price...like its my fault it went up. I also did the Amazon universal registry thing, which lets me put in comments such as " it cheaper here). So i told them to wait til a month b4 i'm due since amazon offers 10% off everything on the registry. what i love is that you don't need special rails etc, you just buy a full frame from any bed store and slap a mattress on it for the normal bed later on.

i'm just using a changer on top of the dresser, makes more sense, and the less furniture i need the better. The dresser can be used for ever not so much an actual changing table. And the rooms in my home are not exactly huge either. i just made sure to buy the changer with the strap that can secure under the top fo the dresser and around it.

My parents are offering the old dresser I had as a kid which apparently has a soft area on the top you can add for changing. It is pretty large though... they are still in Canada and would need to fit it in their van (if it fits). Do you think they'd have any trouble crossing the border with it? I mean, technically it was mine as a child, but I'm not crossing with them at the time to explain that. Plus it's furniture which I assume always looks a bit suspicious. Although the value is probably under their gift limit.

I don't know I just worry about them having border issues... you know how it is with the paranoia sometimes.

so my shower is 23 days away and my SIL has just started sending out the invites...:P

I am super excited for my shower. My niece and I are making the dessert. Banana cupcakes, strawberry trifle and maybe some baked doughnuts..

I also want to make some pulled pork and coleslaw because they are having one of those big deli meat sandwiches and fried chicken..I can't eat deli meat and they had that chicken before and it wasn't very good.... They are also going to have a bunch of salads, veggies, fruit and baked beans..

My husband is also going to make a big batch of watermelon agua.,, yum!

Marilyn, love the crib. I too am going to get a dresser to put a "changing pad on" because the bedroom we have for the twins isn't large.

VeeNDee, I hope your parents are able to make the dresser fit and bring it to you without any border issues.

Marilyn, maybe not surprised but definitely, "Yahoo, just what I wanted and it is so beautiful!"

AFM, my mom called today to tell me she bought fisher price barn and circus toys for the grandkids and she just wanted to make sure I didn't go out and buy them myself. She is so excited! I can't wait to tell her what the babies are when we find out on Friday July 26.

We are hopefully going to close on a house and move mid September and I'm due October 14. It's nerve wracking because I feel like I can't get any baby stuff acquired and set up until then. This baby had better not come early!!! I really want to get a nursery set up and buy a crib and all that stuff but.... no room in this apartment for it at the moment unless we get rid of our kitchen table lol.

we live in a one bedroom apartment. The crib will be set up in our room. Luckily we have a big living room where a lot of the baby stuff can go.. and a fair-sized walk in closet..

I just need to get this place re-organized so we can fit in the baby stuff.

We are hoping to be able to buy a house within a year or so..
