Im seeing a OB at the hospital but she works hand in hand with a Fertility doctor. From what they can tell so far I am not ovulating monthly. I have not had a dye test yet but I have had blood work and an ultrasound.

I keep wondering if my doctor screwed up me when she did my D&E when I had my misccariage( at 16 weeks) in July last year since then I have had no luck getting pregnant.

I switched OB's a few weeks ago due to her not wanting to do any testing.

so we have a few more tests to go through but she is thinking she will end up putting me on clomid. I have an appointment on the 12th

They figure as thick of a lining and as many polyps I had the doctor figures I haven't been ovulating regularly either. I did get pregnant in Oct, but the polyps caused the m/c . So after all the test we are hoping clomid gives me that boost.

I'm thinking it was a good idea to switch OB's , those test can tell you a lot and you would want them done before any time is lost with clomid. Since it can only be taken 6 times in your life, why take it if you don't know what is going on.

I took my fourth pill one more to go for this cycle, I hope this one does it. I actually got my last +OPK on day 18. It was so weird, but after the surgery I took progesterone and that made my cycles to 30 days from 24.

Good luck with the new OB

It's so great that this thread is still active after so long. I haven't posted in the Canada subforum in a long time(barely post anywhere else either!), but I figure it's time to come back. :)

Last year before Mathew and I did our two rounds of IUI my RE had me take Clomid. It made me an absolute nutcase. I remember waking up in the middle of the night because he was snoring and wanting to push him out of bed or suffocate him with a pillow. ohmy.png I've never been more emotional and unstable in the my entire life as I was when I was on Clomid. I didn't like myself at all!

We TTC'd for 3 years and the next step for us was supposed to be IVF because our RE said we would never get pregnant by ourselves, but in April we got a little surprise. Yesterday made 11 weeks! This baby is definitely half Quebecois, I woke up yesterday with the most intense craving for poutine from La Banquise. Thankfully we had some poutine sauce in the house or I might have made a spur of the moment Montreal trip! Got to love the fact that Mathew's mom brings mass quantities of the food he misses from back home when she visits.

Congratulations! What a lovely surprise! When is your due date? smile.png

By my LMP it is supposed to be December 18th, but since I have PCOS I don't always ovulate on time. We hadn't been trying since Janurary so I'm not 100% on when I ovulated, but based on my first ultrasound my official due date is December 29th. We go back this Friday for another ultrasound so we'll see if that date is still correct. I'd love to have the baby before Christmas!

Today I'm dying for a Boston Cream doughnut from Tim Ho's. Why can't my cravings be healthy and readily available? The closest Tim Ho's is in Dayton, OH which is about 2 and a half hours away. Ughhhhh!

so I had a little scare on the weekend. I thought I might be leaking amniotic fluid so we went to the hospital. Turns out I wasn't, phew, but I felt a bit silly for overreacting. all the nurses said it was perfectly understandable and didn't make me feel stupid for coming in.

We went to the hospital that is less then 5 minutes from our house. It is the one I want to go for the delivery but my doctor doesn't have privileges there. and now after going there on the weekend I really want to give birth there. The nurses were all super nice specially this one older nurse. She gave us a package of diapers saying she wanted to give us something for having to spend a few hours there and she gave me a hug when I was leaving. They had me in one of the maternity rooms and it was nice. The bathroom had a tub with jets in it.

the perinatal clinic I go to is in this hospital so technically I am under the care of the doctors there..

Glad to see everything is alright. That would be very scary.

I'm happy to hear you had a good experience at the hospital. I think for me that would seal the deal at what hospital I would go to, since you most likely won't be getting your OB you have now to deliver anyways it will be who is on call that day. Hmm I guess that would depend also if you don't get induced. If you go to the hospital you like will you have to pay extra if it's an on call doctor?

the office I go to has 3 doctors who I have been seeing alternately for my prenatal visits.. so I probably will have one of them..

If I go into premature labour I will be going to another hospital.. I have been there before.. it is a nice hospital but it is about 20 minutes or so away...

Morning. Well we had our 20 week appointment, and saw a new doctor one of the men. There are 6 docs total and i was told to meet all of them since we don't know who will be on call to deliver. I greatly dislike this one we just saw, and am going to request not to have him again if at all possible. After the ultrasound, he came in said hi, and everything seems ok, and come back in 4 weeks. I was like huh? you guys scheduled me for 2 appointments, its barely been 30 minutes, isn't there stuff we have to go over? He said no asked if i had any questions, i was like im not sure, its our first child i don't quite know what to expect or ask. And he just walked out of the room....My husband was like #######??!! He did not even look at my file or ask me any questions about my medication which DID change, he didn't comment on whether i had gained weight and if it was enough or not, he didn't even tell us the baby's heart beat.

I go home and check my info sheet from the clinic, and find out he also didn't go over the hospital registration with me, or talk about the prenatal classes etc, which it says is part of my 20 week appointment also. Needless to say i was highly disappointed with the appointment and felt like i was just a cow in line at the slaughterhouse. :(

The technician said it looks like its a girl, but they had to poke my belly a bit to try and get baby to move since it was hard to see anything. so i guess we are still not 100% sure on gender. oh and she gave us the babys weight of 9oz, and that certain parts looked ok. we kind of brainstormed all weekend about girls names. The one i had picked out we were not sure if we should use it since its very close to his friends daughters name but we decided last night to heck with worrying were going to name her what we want. So we chose Kayla Michelle, but we are going to spell it differently, i'm just not sure on the Gaelic spelling lol. possibly Caihla or Caela we haven't quite decided yet.
