Its been super hot here the last few days in Chicago and for some reason i cannot get cool enough. Have the house set to 70F but i was still dying last night. And today looks to be another heat wave. I want to go get a new swim suit so we can go over to my SIL's, but i have no idea how much bigger i'm going to get and i don't know if they make suits THAT stretchy lol. Finding any maternity stuff lately is either non existent in some stores, so i go looking at the big girl sections. I'm thinking since Target has suits on sale for like 17$ i can just get two, one that is a lil bit bigger now, and one later that is alot bigger. I'm opting for the ones that have a top that kind of has a skirt bottom attached which will cover the tummy. BTW is it ok if the belly get sun exposure while preggers?

You're in Chicago, Kimbear, you have lots of options. Make sure to check out Clothes Mentor, a consignment chain that is extremely picky about what they take. Their maternity wear is very good and they carry an assortment -- Liz Lange from Target up to Mimi, Destination Maternity, and Pea in the Pod. Their prices are more than fair too. I ended up buying three or four dresses there for $40, and the majority aren't Motherhood. (Ugh, I get so sick of them) My store in Michigan is so new they're still building stock. The one in Naperville (Rt 59 @ Ogden area, with the giant Jo-Ann on IL 59) is well worth taking a look at.

Get a tankini two-piece! Comfy, stylish, expands well. You may have missed Costco having a bunch of swimsuits but they may still carry them - $19 for a Speedo is definitely a great deal. Look for side ruching if you can, and avoid one pieces. They don't stretch in the same way we'll need. The two pieces are much more comfortable and de rigueur for maternity wear.

I've searched online -- there are some much, much better details, especially now. I'm trying to remember the name of the big online swim site I got mine from. $20 should do just fine, and usually you order your pre-pregnancy size. If you want to explore, go poke around a Motherhood store (to try on if they have them); I am trying to think where else I've seen the bathing suits. Kohl's is a dead loss.

not sure if they have it where you are but I buy Tomato soup in a box.. The brand is Pacific foods. The soup is really good. I also like there Carrot Ginger soup..

it looks like Safeway or Whole Foods might carry it..

I have seen it at Super Walmart here in SoCal

Marilyn, congrats on your birthday! I will be 37 in a few weeks. Like, you I thought I would have babies before now but I am so glad I get the opportunity to have babies regardless of how old I am.

I might have to check on that maternity resale store in the Chicago area. My husband and I travel through Chicago to visit my mom.

It is raining really hard here in Michigan. Better than being so hot. Ugh.

So I am now 39 and pregnant. I always thought I would have kids when I was younger but it didn't work out that way for me.

Happy Birthday!!!

so because next Monday is a holiday I have to go to Urgent Care to get my weekly progesterone shot. The nurse at my doctor's told me to make an appointment. I was thinking that I don't think you can make appointments but I did call and they told me no. I just hope I don't have to wait to long when I go.

Hopefully Marilyn you appointment will be quick given it is the holiday. Today I got to quit my progesterone suppositories. Yeah! Those things were annoying.

Today I was cleaning out my classroom of 12 years of accumulation. I am so tired. I need to rest more.

Sooo, my husband's work decided to change our health coverage effective June 1, so I rescheduled my June 3 ultrasound for next week instead to be covered. We haven't figured out the new coverage other than we need to get a new doctor and it will cost a bit more each month (of course)....and then still go on COBRA and then new coverage again... figures. American healthcare is so confusing. How many doctors am I going to go through???
