Kimbear glad to hear that Caihla is getting better and that she is finally getting the hang of latching onto you instead of always having to take pumped milk. Hopefully pumping will be a thing of the past for you soon as she gets the hang of latching on. I really have to hand it to you though, getting up every 3 hours to pump sounds like a lot of work but I am sure it will be totally worth it for her in the long run.

Marilyn, I don't know how formula mom's do it without some additional resources, formula is crazy expensive. I hope all of Emily's shots go well. I wouldn't be looking forward to that either - from what I hear babies get crabby and sometimes get fevers and such after vaccinations sad.png

AFM, I don't know what exactly the doctor did on Friday, it was the first time I met him with this practice. I had my group B strep swab and a cervical exam. Not dilated yet which is good for 35 weeks with twins. But man the pain afterward was horrendous - no bleeding or anything but cervical pain that basically made me lay in bed for 3 days. Ugh. Today I am feeling a little better. I can sit up which on Friday I couldn't do at all but not for long. I am so ready to have these babies and then start a whole new round of aches and pains. Every joint in my body ached last night and I tossed and turned.

We had terrible winds and rain here yesterday. Spent most of my day in the basement sorting through baby clothes and removing the plastic dodads that hold things onto the clothes. Baby socks were the worse, so many plastic things. DH just came home, I guess his place of employment doesn't have electricity this morning and he usually starts work at 6 a.m. I think I will just stay put for the day. I just turned on the news. Lots of schools are closed because of all the trees down blocking roads and electricity being out.

you were probably sore becuase they poke at your cervix to see if its dilated. my ob did this everytime i went and each time i bled and was super crampy. unfortunately it didn't do a damn thing for me lol up until the baby was delivered via c-section i still had not dilated and she still did not go down into my pelvis.

My cloth diaper stash has made it to Maumee, OH as of last night. Should be delivered by the end of the day tomorrow. I went to the La Leche League meeting last night. I am glad I went. They discussed the 10 things to remember about newborn breastfeeding and I got to hear from other moms about their experiences including a lady I met at pre-natal swim class who had her little girl a month ago. They loaned me a book about breastfeeding multiples that I am looking forward to reading.

this is a great guide if you want to read it, it goes week by week, the hospital sent it to me when i registered.

Went to the doctor yesterday. Unremarkable. Babies are doing great. One of them is definitely sitting in my pelvis. The ultrasound tech had to really push and prod to get a picture of his head - ouch. Both babies are head down still. The ultrasound estimated their weights at 5 pounds 12 ounces each which is great for 36 weeks.

Last night I started getting some menstrual crampy feelings and my back and belly felt different than before. This morning it feels like someone is trying to shrink wrap my belly but those feelings are pretty random, last for a couple minutes and then go away. I am just hoping something will get started. But so far babies are still on the inside. I am chilling today though.

Almost 30 weeks along and things are going great so far. I'm praying I will not have to have a C-section or anything like that. I failed my 1 hr. glucose test so hoping I passed the 3 hr. I had to take one earlier around 11 weeks and I passed the 3 hr one then, so here's hoping. Insurance has all kicked in. We have wonderful benefits so I'm very happy about that. I'm still going to the local Pregnancy Aid Centre which is out of network but I only had a 100 dollar deductible for the whole year and now all my sonos are covered and everything (I get one every 4 weeks). We're also starting to get the spare room set up. It still all feels surreal, like I still can't believe there is going to be a baby coming out of me.

The bigger my tummy gets, it gets a little harder to adjust myself in bed and get out of the car, things like that but otherwise all is well! I cannot complain!

Haha I thought your other post was about you going in to have the babies, not about the diapers being delivered headbonk.gif Glad that they are co-operating with you, hopefully they stay head down.

Can I ask why you are worried about a c-section at this point? Good luck with the 3 hour test. I go for the 1hr on the 16th of Dec.

JensJrny2Ray, glad that your insurance has kicked in. Yeah, the more pregnant we become the more difficult it is to move around. My car is so low it takes so much work to get out of it.

Ah, Marilyn, Emily has that mischievious look on her face. Yep, mommy, I am up to something. So cute!

That is okay Ontarkie, I want these babies to come out now. I had been concerned if I would get to 36 weeks and now that I have, I am like, they can come any day now!

so my baby girl was 2 months on Saturday. she had her doc appointment today.. He said that Emily is doing great. She weighs 12.2 pounds and is 22 3/4 inches long. She is in the 60 to 70 percentile for weight, length and head size. The doc seemed quite impressed with her progress.

She also got 3 shots today. She was not a happy camper when she got them. She is doing ok now. No fever or anything yet.

i love our pediatrician. He doesn't rush through the appointment and he explains things in terms we can understand.

So Emily was a little fussy for the rest of the day yesterday and her temp got up to 99.2. I gave her one does of Tylenol. she is back to her old self today. :)

she got her second Hep B shot, Rotavirus (oral), Tdap, Influenzae type b,Pneumococcal and polio shots..

It's crazy how many they get, I did turn down the HepB shot at birth and will not get it for Alexis till she's 12ish. I also turned down/delayed the chicken pox vaccine for now. Our Pedi said the only reason they give the Hepb vax so ear;ly in the US is that parents tend to not take their kids back for it when they are older and at risk. Since I'm doing it the way my older kids got theirs back in Canada I won't forget, plus I don't want the vaccine wearing off when they need it the most.
