Valerie: Ive read that the pickle craving is because of mineral/vitamin deficiency. When pregnant women crave pickles its because they are lacking something in their nutrition.

It's gonna be 3 years in May that we are married :) I have my hands full with his 3 boys, and although I would like to have a child together I am not quite ready yet. We still need to move in a house with more bedrooms to be able to accomodate everybody. I figure we should be able to move out within the next 2 years. By then his youngest son will have started school (they are currently 5, 7 and 9 yo).

I just turned 29 and he's 33. So I'm planning this for in about 2-3 years :) And since it's gonna be his 4th kid, we are planning only for one. And I always really wanted only one. I still need time to take care of my 3 cats, my boa, our future dog and my 10 turtles.....

And I am still practicing my parenting skills at the moment. My baby turtles are due at the end of March. They have been incubating for 4 weeks already, only 8 more weeks to go!

I guess my emotions got the best of me but I was really mad. About a year later I was talking with this girl at work who told me the story of a mother in Barrie at Walmart going apeshit on everyone after she lost her kid. I was like: "Ya... hi that was me."

I can so see you doing that Nev

For those of us who just got married - do you plan to have children and how long do you think you'll wait?

My plan is to get pregnant in 2013. I want to establish my career here a bit more and also buy a house or at least have 2 bedroom place first.

I am very excited to have babies though. I can't wait!

I didn't want to have kids until I met my husband. But, he always knew he wanted kids one day and over the past 4 years he's slowly convinced me that having kids would really complete our lives together. We're thinking sometime in the next 3-5 years, so maybe we'll be making a baby pt.2 thread sometime in the next few years together Sapphire!

Of course, life doesn't always go like we plan it. No matter when we have kids I will welcome them with all the love in the world! I'm thinking 1 or 2, probably 2. How many do you guys want?

That's freaky. lol. It'll be interesting to hear when you announce your pregnancy.

Yeah, It definitely will be interesting. Here's hoping it doesn't have to happen anytime in the near future...

I'm not enjoying the morning sickness so I'm not too keen on repeating it again...but then again, I don't want my baby to be the only child. Sigh...we'll see.

Hi ladies! I haven't contributed to this forum much lately but I'm here! My husband and I found out 11 weeks ago that we're also pregnant. It's been a huge change for us. It was a big shock. We definitely got pregnant celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. I just knew that I was pregnant, I think I was only about 3 days late when I decided to test. I'll be 15 weeks pregnant tomorrow, EDD July 9th, 2010. We heard the heartbeat at our midwife's appointment on Monday. What an amazing sound. I've got to say, up until that moment I wasn't too sure it was real! We both cried!

J&B, have you tried probiotics? I used to be on a prescription for acid reflux, for about 6 years and then I found probiotics and I don't have to take them anymore. My midwife also said Gaviscon was the preferred antacid, as opposed to Tums.

The morning sickness will go away. I'm starting to feel a lot more like myself. I had a strong aversion to eggs up until this week. I'm glad that they're tasting good again because I sure missed them. That being said, chicken still totally grosses me out!

I definitely want at least 2, although I always tell the hubby that Im excited for our 12 children just to see him go pale®. Hubby thinks that 3 is a good number but that is completely dependent on our financial situation.

I dododododododododododododododododododododododo want a girl though :P I am sure that I will love my future clone with all my heart and might, regardless of its gender. But just imagine all the girly stuff we can do together :D

Finally married... and still married... ;)

I would have loved to have been married for at least a year before starting a family. But my husband stared at me too long when I was trying on shoes for him the week before our wedding that we had our baby 8.5 months after we got married.

This May we will have been married for 24 months. I will have been pregnant for 15 of those months.

Nothing has worked out as planned, but somehow everything still manages to fall in place.

Good thing we didn't wait till we were "ready" to have kids, either. We're no spring chickens! With this parenting thing, I just learn as I go along.

Your husband has a shoe thing, doesn't he? :P :P

Ummm...there may be something else a person is lacking if they are craving 'pickles'. Just sayin'.

I don't have any children myself yet, being that I'm barely 20 years old but when the time comes, I want at least one. I'm not letting my hopes up though because I suffered from a sickness when I was younger and my chance of conceiving is loww (it's possible...but yeah). But anywho, if all else, there are millions of children out there without a home. I will adopt. :)!
