Has anyone experienced Braxton Hicks yet? I am pretty sure I have. At first I thought it was just the baby moving into a strange position but after reading about it online I am pretty sure it is BH. My stomach will get really hard for a few seconds and then it goes away.

That is what my labour pains felt like after I had my epidural.

Makes sense that BH would feel similar.

I have a few times for a week or two now that I've noticed anyway. I mentioned it to the doctor and described it and she confirmed that's likely what it was -same with some friends. Although I've had another person tell me it's WAY too early to get those and I'm just being silly. I think I'll listen to the doctor instead of her. On a bright note, while they can be a little annoying they don't seem to hurt or last long. I haven't had one that I've noticed in a few days now.

I never had BH, but my daughter used get the hiccups a lot. Now that feels weird! LOL

After she was born and in the NICU, her father was able hold her the first time and she got the hiccups. He was like "Yep, right baby!"

Congrats, Ontarkie! That's great. :D

Yes, I've started experiencing BH contractions but I mistook them for the baby being pressed up against me in some weird position. I'm glad to hear it's not that. Time to add the information to my notebook and tell the doc about it on Thursday.

Has anyone got recommendations on how to find a good pediatrician? I don't know enough people with children to ask for personal recommendations around here, and my ob-gyn is on the other side of town (and other hospital network) from where I live.
