I suggest emailing the consulate after you have your NOA2 and you know its left NVC. I too changed my address before I received my NOA2 (I'm the beneficiary) and even though I received a letter stating that they had updated my file my packet 3 was sent to the wrong address. I contacted Montreal by email and gave them my new address after the NVC told me it was mailed out and apparently they couldn't change the address only Montreal could. So just make sure you ask NVC which address is on file when you call them to find out when your file has been sent to the consulate.

ChrisNmanda-I have no clue about the k1 process....but....

Yes, you have to fill out the AR11 when you move (and your sponsor has to fill out the I865 too, if the sponsor applies at this stage of the game).

By filling it out online, you should print out any receipts/confirmations online that you get regarding this.

And any new correspondences with the USCIS should go to this new address, and this should go into effect right away, and have no more problems/delays.

However, if there is any further delay or correspondences getting lost, you should contact the USCIS asap, and show proof that you did the address change.

Hope this helps too. Good luck with your journey.

Ant

P.S. When I did my AR11, I did it by regular USPS mail instead...but did not receive any confirmation regarding such a change....hmmm.....

I have a question for you. my fiance from the Philippines has recently changed her address does she have to fill out an AR11 and I865 or is that only for the USA address change?

thanks for the replies

We applied for the email updates on USCIS.com, so I would assume we should find out if something happens by email even if we don't get a NOA2 in the mail, but i'm not sure if those updates are good for anything or not lol.

We really don't have anything to worry about anyways, because we can still get mail at the old address. A little history of what happened, our NOA1 was mailed to the other address and we just wanted all the future stuff to come to the other address. The address in Canada hasn't changed. Its been 80 days or so since the NOA1 so hopefully we will hear something soon. Just didn't know if there would be kind of delay from doing that.

Both those forms are for notification of address change within the US. You may want to ask in the regional forum what the process is for changes outside the US. I imagine she would have to contact the Embassy/Consulate.

You need that NOA2 for Adjustment of Status. If it doesn't come, make sure you print off the online approval notice and document any attempt you make to obtain it.
