Ok here it is. Basically I have one job that pays enough to meet the income requirements. I have a pay stub and employment letter to show this. I have a 2nd job that is just cash, I have an employment letter and my bank account showing deposits (more then I can make on my current job). I just started this job. IF for some reason they don't think my income suffices will they give me a chance to get a co-sponor or immediately decline/deport after the interview? I can get a co-sponor but I would prefer not to use him unless absolutely necessary.

My point is, if they require more information, or have questions about income how does the process work exactly?

Are you talking about the I-864? (if you sent it in all ready, and was granted an interview, they most of accepted it)

Did you provide 1 year of tax transcripts (or 1040/w-2)?

If you make the requirements - then you should be ok - if they wanted more , they would usually RFE you and give you time to fix that issue, prior to the interview.

If you get to the interview and they require more information, you are usually given time to come up the requested information.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

What does RFE mean?

Yes I am talking about the I-864. They ask for a lot of things, most of which seems very repetitive to me. I am just wondering what if they have a problem with something at the interview? Will I get to fix it ? (like if I need a co-sponsor) My income is sufficient but...I just want to cover the bases.

There will be no question about your income. You meet the requirement, or you don't. Green or red, simple as that.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

WELL EVERYONE MY WIFE GOT APPROVED YAY! WOW THAT WAS STRESSFUL!

I completely overthought the process. The questions were very basic and easy. I prepared everything imaginable and didn't sleep for 4 days...all they asked for was her medical packet from the civil surgeon and a police report since her two sets of fingerprints failed.

Very easy but still so stressful. My wife is pregnant on top of it.

Good luck everyone!
