I called her up for congrats on not getting TB. I told her not to get any infectious diseases and she listened to me and passed the medical!

She's on her way to the Robinson Mall to get her NBI. Godspeed to her. She's got only 2 1/2 hours to do it and then she's gotta head straight to the airport.

Just to clarify something out, in Robinson's Cebu right? Because I was the one who suggested that she has to get it in Robinsons but its my bad for not mentioning if its in Manila or Cebu. I am just worried because not all Robinson's Mall have NBI Booths, not that I know of.

I'll let her know about he NBI thing for her to check it out.

UPDATE: she did pass her medical but on the way to the mall she suddenly got really, really sick from the vaccinations and started throwing up. She told me that she's too sick to fly back to Cebu tonight so I had her go back to the same hotel. Since I already had a round trip booked the 17th-19th to Manila for the interview, I am just having her remain in Manila until that time. The difference is that I have to pay for an extra 5 nights of hotels and I can get a travel voucher for the CEB-MNL flight on the 17th that I'm cancelling. She will try get her NBI in the morning and at least by her staying in Manila will give her more chances to get the NBI before the interview.

Cebu Air won't even so much as give her a credit for the flight she missed today. But it doesn't surprise me being a same day cancellation.

Oh Im so sorry to hear that. After the medical exam we were given a slip saying that its just normal to have allergic reactions and or fever after vaccination. IF the situation gets worse, just tell her to go to SLEC right away and report the problem so she can be given remedy for it.

I was just being a worry bunny knowing that Manila is not safe for her to walk around. Btw, I booked myself on the 17th at Miramar Hotel. I wanted to be there early so I can focus more on the review of my documents.

Consider it a blessing in disguise so she will have more time to work on her NBI. If you don't mind, where is she staying right now? Good thing she's able to bring all the necessary papers needed for the Visa Interview so it's just okay for her not to go back home.

Good luck to us!

She's feeling a lot better today (thank God) so she's off doing her NBI clearance right now. I've had her stay at the Best Western La Corona because it has free wi-fi and the reviews online were pretty good. I would have put her at the Bayview but the hotel seems like it's not as nice and they charge an arm and a leg for internet. Since we communicate on skype for hours at a time, I'd rather her have the free internet. She has told me the La Corona's help is very friendly and helpful and she's enjoyed it there so far.

I didn't want her to stay at the other hotels that are 15 dollars less a night but really lousy. The La Corona is probably the best hotel value you can get at 2,600 pesos a night. She said the breakfast is good (though not much variety) and the rooms are clean. It's also quite close to the USEM and ST. Lukes.

The sure part of passing is when the releasing counter keeps her passport and tells her that they (SLMCEC) will be the one to forward the results to the Embassy and all she has to do is to report on the day of the interview. Before leaving St. Luke's, she'll receive her DS-3250 and X-ray CD.

Hakuna matata.

God bless us all.

Ooops!

DS-3025, vaccination records

I wrote the number sequence erroneously.
