Hi.

My name is Hali from the US. My husband Ali lives overseas. We got married last year and I've been processing his papers here in the state.

I got an email from NVC saying I must send in DS-230 form. But didn't get any instructions or barcode (cover sheet). As I was looking at the form, it seems like it should be filed by my husband because it ask questions ie: "What do you intend to do in the US". Asks for his parents name and DOBs. His educations, occupation...etc.

My question is, Who is suppose to file the DS-230 form? Me or my husband. And what is the address to send the form when finished? PLEASE HELP! This is supposedly the last form before NVC is able to proceed.

Thank You!

Hello Hali and Ali:

You dont need an instruction. Remember you paid at CEAC $400? Now you need to print the bar-coded paper after payment is complete. You didnt have to wait actually, after your IV bill is available at CEAC you could just send it in. Both of you could do it but you need original signature of your husband. you should have get this before you left his home country. Maybe you can assist him filling it out and he can send it in via Fedex international. Good luck to you and your husband.
