I hope that soon we will all be approved. We were touched 2 times after our RFE was received. If that is good news or not we prey for a quick response on if there will be an approval.

This has been a big headache and we hope to be happy married by next year.

It just shows you how ambiguous the RFE is. People are strongly disagreeing with the requirements.

I read this USCIS memo http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/lawsregs/han...imbra072106.pdf which originally made me think we were screwed, but after re-reading it and following the numbering carefully, it does appear the criminal conviction waivers only apply to multiple filings.

Thanks all. I feel a little better now. We're still finding this hard. It took CSC a month to acknowledge our RFE and whilst I first accused my fiance of wasting time, I later realized with all the screw ups they have made I need to give my fiance the benefit of the doubt!!

Good luck everyone :) Not long ago I was hoping to be in California for August - now I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Christmas!

I would like to congratulate all of you that have been approved with a waiver. I also would like to thank in particular Rob, Lary &Lara for their support and encouragement in my case. I am also trying to file a waiver due to 2 previous K1's which I withdrew prior to the interviews.

It seems that most attorneys do not want to touch this kind of case and are looking for an easy buck. I am still waiting for this particular attorney (most of you know him as he is well known) to see if he will accept my case. If he does not, then I will go the same path most of you are doing and request this waiver myself.

Hi guys, glad to see couples are getting approved with waivers.

I'm still waiting though 191 days today!! I wrote a letter and requested if necessary, but I only have 1 misdemeanor DV that's not even on my record anymore. It was bogus to begin with but would have cost $1000's to fight it. And the only other K-1 I've filed was in 1992 for my first wife(divorced 2005)

SO why it's taking so long is driving me nuts!!

It's just like the supermarket!! I always pick the slow line, no luck at all.

Well I used up my lifetime supply when I found Lea. (L)

Gonna try again.
