Montreal Interview Times?

Hello everyone

Does anyone know about the wait at Montreal? I just send in our packet 3 last Wednesday were waiting for packet 4 and Interview....we got our medical on Feb 1st....with the backlog at Montreal I read that interview wait times can be up to 42 days I think. Anyone waiting for theres and or got it and how long did you wait?

Recently it's been 2-4 months, unless they do another big booking of interviews soon.

They apparently hired more people, so maybe the wait time will go down.

Do you mean the wait for the interview to GET scheduled, or the wait between the actual scheduling and the interview date?

It has been taking twelve weeks or longer for people to get scheduled for their interviews lately... I've been waiting eight and a half, and others have been waiting much longer than that. If ONLY it were 42 days...

As for the time between the date the interview is scheduled and the actual interview date, that seems to be anywhere from three to six weeks.

Just out of curiosity...how did you manage to schedule your medical without having an interview date set? It's at one of the four panel physicians the USCIS approves, correct?

Wyatt- its different for K-1's. All we need is the first page of our P3 with the name and Montreal case number. They don't require you have an interview set yet.

As for the interview wait, I hear its painful. Peachey recently waited 4 months.

Wow that is long Amanda....for K1 they require you to call and set up an appointment once you receive your P3 and is done before the interview.

Hey Amanda I'm a K-1 applicant and MTL received my packet 3 in November and we have not yet heard anything about our interview. It is a process that does test the limit of your patience, however MTL has recently started to book interviews for February...I hope all of us can get an interview schedules soon Good luck!

It was three months for us at the end of December (IR-1). Hopefully with the supposed recent staffing it won't be four - or five. After the first couple months you begin to get a bit pessimistic Hopefully I'll have some good news to report this coming week but I'm not holding my breath yet.

My packet 3 was logged on the 7th of November and I am still waiting. I am hoping that the start scheduling Feb interviews soon!!

What is a packet 3 / 4 for those of us filing CR-1 and Electronic Filing? So confused when this language comes up...

I will be looking forward to those that have been waiting for Montreal interviews before my fiance' to get theirs. Our package is on its way to NVC right now. I am looking forward to hearing when it makes it to Montreal even if it will mean waiting a month or more for them to open the mail and log its existence. PROGRESS IS PROGRESS!
