Awh, thanks guys!

Today went well, all considered. It was so, so cold, though!

Our ceremony was all of seven minutes, beside the lake, in a wet park (it rained until about an hour before). Thankfully, though, the restaurant we had reservations at allowed us to move up the reservation a whole hour early, so we went straight there and mostly skipped pictures at the park. It was just too cold.

The restaurant was so, so accommodating. Little plug for them: Houlihan's staff was incredibly tasty and the staff was just wonderful to our party. We already knew that we loved the food... but they were great at putting together an area in the back where we could push together tables, gave us a dinner special for lunch (our entire party ordered it) and allowed us to bring in a cake.

Afterwards we went to the mall and our whole little family had portraits taken. Ohboy are those ever expensive! I wanted one pose only, for ourselves and to send my folks... but they don't like hearing that, haha. Spendy little outing that was, but it was nice to have a photo taken of the whole family all dressed up.

All in all, good day. Our videos are so funny, because all you hear is the wind and shivering!

Well since you only "mostly skipped pictures at the park" that means you got some pictures.

congrrats!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I can't wait to see more! Sam you look beautiful and Ben looks so adorable.

And your hair looks great! It held up really well. Mine would have turned into a frizzy poof ball because of the rain we had today.
