Hi Blandas,

Well, as for citizenship timelines...there are many variables....it can be slow, it can be fast.....

The average now to complete the US Citizenship process is about 2-6 months.....which is a big range.....

And it can change from year to year too, as a few years ago, things were a lot slower in the process...

It all boils down to:

a) Interview dates...Can your local office schedule one quick enough and are you able to pass such that day.

b ) More importantly: Oath dates. You are not a US Citizen until you take the oath. Some people get their oaths as quick as the same day, while some people get their oaths days, months, weeks, months, later.....It all depends on the schedule of your local office....

For example, my citizenship process was 2 1/2 months exactly, from start to finish....which was quicker than usual due to other circumstances....Can't say that it can be as quick for others...again...depends on your local office there....

You might want to check out some other VJers timelines and N-400 lists too, to get more accurate timelines for your location...

Hope this helps. Good luck on your journey too.

Ant

P.S. Your local field office is Oregon, not Phoenix, as Phoenix is just a lockbox location and from there your file gets transferred back to your area of Oregon. Lol..Don't ask me why the USCIS does things like this..It makes no sense really...And it causes paperwork to be lost and/or misplaced along the way too!

For example, I sent my application to Texas...which then got forwarded back to Buffalo, NY, where I am....

Oh the horror it was to see my entire immigration file over the years (3-4 inches thick, over 3 years) there!

I swear, my immigration paperwork has had more frequent traveller miles, than I have over the years!
