hi! we just got the letter from the embassy telling us we're already eligible to be scheduled for a K1 visa interview. im now completing our requirements and docs. my fiancee is about to file her affidavit of support. i just want to know if she can get someone in her family to file the I-134 affidavit of support also as a co-sponsor. just to make sure we wont be denied due to this. and will the consul ask for it (the co-sponsor's I-134) on the spot during the interview or should i just give it to the consul with my fiacee's affidavit of support. sorry, im just confused now. thanks a lot! God bless!

The USC must give the foreign fiance an I-134, this I-134 is on the USC.

If the USC not make enough money, then the USC must obtain a co-sponser,

and the USC make an I-134, and the USCs co-sponser make an I-134.

Usually, the co-sponser is some immediate relative of the USC. There are variations on that, sure.

When the foreign fiance gives the I-134 to a VO, if there is a co-sponser, then yes, BOTH I-134s are given at same time. Some people write up a cover letter for the I-134 as well.

I can't tell who is who , from reading your post . Sorry.

We received our NOA2 almost a week ago, now we're collecting all the docs for my interview.

My fiancee doesn't earn enough to reach the poverty line (she's a student and has a part time job) but she's got money in a savings account that would be more than enough to comply with the 3x1 rule (or 5x1 required by our consulate in Italy).

Do you guys think it is alright to go just like this, or should we preferably get a co-sponsor within her family?
