Employment documents needed at Interview

I have filed immigrant visa for my wife . I have give joint affidavit of support from my brother-in law as I am unemployed since april 2009 till date. I didn't sent any of the W2's, just the tax transcripts only but rest all fine. I checked a lot and they said if joint sponsor's income is good enough thats ok. Is there any employment related document ( from me or joint sponsor) that she should take, which can really effect the interview. If NVC accepted everything and didn't demand anything like W2's, is it required to still find them and take them to interview ( of course they are only few from last 1-2 years). Is there any other document (apart from employment related) that we sent to NVC but still definitely required to take copies (else it can impact interview). I think if its all clean and clear, these things should not impact interview .

Other things I am recommending is emails and photographs. Interview is in India. Please need help. Thanks

you gave I-864 on YOU plus

I-864 on a co-sponser, right?

NVC 'accepts' the documents, but the actual 'evaluation' occurs at the embassy.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Since the co-sponsor is the one that you are using to qualify, be sure that you have sent employment proof for him (and bring current paystubs for him to the consulate)... Additionally, be sure that you submitted at least your last tax return or a letter stating why you did not have to file taxes...

Regardless of what NVC says, it is up to the Consulate if they accept the sponsorship/income. NVC just verifies that you submitted everything to them... The consulate is the final word so bring whatever you think might come up in regards to financial support proof.

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!

What is the worst case if you don't bring something at interview that you already sent to nvc or not requested from you- photocopies or any documents ?. NVC sent detailed letter stating that all documents needed for the case are there. So if we go with interview letter/medical or whatever we think right (any photocopies or new docs), can it be a major problem?. Please need help. Interview in India
