Your appointment is at noon (according to what you typed).

However if you go early the only thing that might happen is that you would have to wait a little bit depending on how busy the support center is that morning.

I suggest going even before the 26th if you can. I'm so glad my husband went two weeks ago because he has to work all day on Monday and I don't see his boss letting him off work easily.

I need advice.

I moved to US 2 years ago (green card holder through marriage). Now my 2-year green card expires (04/15/10)and time to apply for a 10-year green card.

Does anybody know if biometrics are needed for that? Since they took my photo and fingerprints two years ago??

Or I just fill out I-90 form?? It said on the paper with my green card that in two years I'll have to file I-90.

But why are you mentioning I-751 form?? should I file it too ?I am confused..

Once you file to remove conditions you will receive your NOA which extends your residenc for a year. Soon after that you will receive an appointment to have your biometrics done.

My husband has had his biometrics done 3 times since he moved to the U.S.

Yes - you need to apply for removal of conditions using form I-751 which also requires a biometrics. Once approved, then you will receive your 10 year GC. If you fail to apply within the 90 days prior to your 2 yr GC expires, the USCIS will consider you abandoning your residency status.

Take a look at the following link which contains a lot of useful information.

You can also visit USCIS's website for the form and instructions

Good luck!

Bora bora and V33k THANK YOU!!

But I guess I confused you. I am not a conditional Permanent Resident. I am just a Permanent Resident. I am not sure if there is any difference - should be.. I filed I-130 for CR-1/IR-1 and got my green card. And it says on the paper that came with it -apply for a new card 90 days before this one expires using I-90 form.

CR-1 gets 2 yrs,IR-1 gets 10 yrs. if they give you a green card expiring after 2 yrs, then you are a conditional resident. file I-751 to remove to conditional resident status and that will give you a 10 yrs green card. I-90 is used to replace lost green card, and expiring 10 yrs green card. expiring 2 yrs green card uses I-751.

Look at your GC and see what your "category" says. It is one line below your A number and it is to the right of "birthdate"
