Assalamu Alaikum wa RahmatuAllahi wa Barakatu

I've had the Longing for the Divine calendar for a number of years now, and I love it. The pictures are always stunning, and they sprinkle tidbits of wisdom throughout the year. If you're looking for something to hang on the wall, it would be worth it to buy ones from years past just for the pictures.

Andalusian Arts also makes beautiful cards featuring the ME/NA with timelly wisdom that can be especially soothing during trying times, and we all know how trying these immigration times can be. Enjoy.

Sometime in 2008 - Received 10 year GC. Almost done with USCIS for life inshaAllah! Huzzah!

12/07/08 - Adopted the fuzzy feline love of my life, my Squeaky baby th_catcrazy.gif

02/23/09 - Apply for citizenship

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

The blue door is Morocco.

The pink one is too. I wonder if it really is pink. Pink usually doensn't work for architecture, but here, it's quite beautiful.

The detail work looked Moroccan but the color did not. I am guessing it is a tinted lens, but maybe not.

I love mashrabiya. My parents bought some pieces in Egypt and had one larger piece made into a coffee table which I covet. :P

3/24/11 Received 10 year Green Card in the mail - Done. Feels good :-) 'till we do this again for US Citizenship.

12/5/11 mailed packet for Naturalization

12/9/11 was received by USCIS.

4/6/12 received letter for fingerprint appn.

4/23/12 9am fingerprint appointment - done :-)

4/30/12 Recieved Letter for Interview - Sche. 5/31

5/31/12 Interview & Testing

5/31/12 Testing Approved - Waiting for next step

6/21/12 Rcvd email, placed application in the oath sched. que :-)

6/25/12 Rcvd letter - Oath Ceremony is on 7/11/12 @ 9:15am :-)

1/6/07 - leaving for USA

1/20/07 - Wedding Date

1/20/07 - MARRIED!!!!!

3/20/07 - Rec'd Social Security Card

3/21/07 - Checks Cashed and Case Status online

3/24/07 - NOA1 Rec'd for AOS and EAD

3/27/07 - rec'd Biometrics appt letter - scheduled for 4/20/07 @ 11:00am

4/02/07 - "touched"

4/20/07 - had biometrics appt.

4/21/07 - rec'd letter stating case was transferred to CSC

October 13, 2005 Petition left for NVC, where on our way now

October 14, 2005 Touched Again. I don't get it

October 17, Recieved NOA2 Via Snail mail

October 24, RecievedNVC case #

October 27, Petition Shipped to Embassy

October 31, Embassy received petition

November 1, Embassy called to set up fingerprint appointment

November 4, Fingerprint appointment

November 23, Fingerprint check results came in - Thumbs up

November 30, Fiance picks up packet 3

December 1, Medical exam

December 5, Call embassy to set up interview date

December 5, Pick up medical results

December 28, embassy tells us they screwed up

January 23, Interview date

january 23, Need a waiver 601 and 212

January 31, Turned in Waivers

February 27, Waiver sent to Athens, (Took long enough)

:yes: I have fallen in love with the 99 names of Allah (swt) tiles. I will find a way to afford them someday! Well, barring that, I will get the dvd. I think it would be perfect for iftar time.
