I didn't answer your one question. The hardcopy (and emails/text) shows the date for March 24th so unlike your story where you were approved a week before your notification of approval, ours is one and the same.

Thanks zenaxe! Just curious because our text/email lagged so far behind the actual approval date (which wasn't posted on the website either until later) that the hardcopy came the same day as the text and email. Strange, but no worries, it's been approved! Glad to hear you got your NVC number. Yes, line is very busy, early in the day and late in the day are best times to call I've found. Call back today and see what the automated message says. Mine is currently on the "We sent your DS-3032 and AOS out in the mail." Even though we opted in for EP and gave them our email addresses. Have you given NVC your email addresses by speaking to an operator? Still waiting for any kind of response from them and haven't received hardcopy of AOS to get IIN to pay AOS invoice.

I finally got my NOA2 Approved today! A Text & Email were sent to me this morning at 1am:

On March 31, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I think I can get everything submitted before I leave(May 25) to Egypt for my 10 week summer break I will be spending with my husband! Hopefully he can send me all the IV Packet information in 2 weeks, give 2 weeks for mailing(to the US) and by the beginning of May, send it off to the NVC.

Does anyone know the time frame for the Egypt Embassy interview after NVC approval?

Now I can actually feel like I'm doing something! It was difficult to just wait and wait and to not be able to do anything.

Have you given NVC your email addresses by speaking to an operator? Still waiting for any kind of response from them and haven't received hardcopy of AOS to get IIN to pay AOS invoice.

Ours was really interesting. I called NVC on Tues around 5pm Pacific and spoke directly with an operator who advised that NVC got our case, I gave him our email addresses and asked him for out case number, which he gave. Later that evening, I was traveling and about to leave when I thought I'd better call NVC just before hitting the road (woot woot, glad I did)....so when I arrived in Vancouver, I had my wife send me the .pdf of our DS3032 and I sent the OPTIN email and also included the scanned DS3032. I got an auto reponse from NVC saying they received the email from me.

The next day I fly to Phoenix thinking, as per the auto response, that this will take a few days and when I checked my emails later in the evening, I aaw that NVC has sent emails confirming our case, and sending out the AOS bill (and the DS3032). Those emails were sent to me around 3pm. I was pretty surprised that this would happen so quick.

So I paid the AOS bill on line and as of even right now, it's sitting as 'in process.' So we wait. Too bad tomorrow is a holiday and the Feds aren't working. We lose a day of processing, then the weekend. But they, pretty darn quick and I'm not complaining about that. As soon as I see 'paid' status I'll send them the AOS batch of documents and wait the billing for the IV, then will send out the DS230 package.

This moved quick and when I think about a few weeks ago I was really wondering what was happening with the I 13o petition, we're now here....

Woot woot,

That's great Zenaxe! Hope things keep moving along quickly for you. Maybe the payment will clear even though the government is taking the day off. Then you can email the I-864 package in.

I received the I-864 fee bill and copy of the DS-3032 in the mail yesterday finally so I paid the AOS fee last night, and status is also "in process." Not expecting it to clear until next week, but have the I-864 package ready to go. The DS-3032 had an expiration date of 12/31/2006! Glad to know they are sending on the most up-to-date forms... blink.gif

Still no word back on the OPT IN email. Did you get an automated response or an official acceptance email to Electronic Processing?

Ya I had to laugh at that DS3032 NVC sends out...the one I had sent them with my OPTIN email was showing an expiration of 2012; the one NVC sent me in their correspondence showed, like yours, 2006....ha

Anyway I didn't fill that one out at all, just went with my first one at the OPTIN stage; obviously they know who my choice of agent is...

I was hoping to clear the AOS bill today but likely it'll be next week. We're also ready to fly with the next two packages. All are scanned and awaiting payment clearance. You mentioned the mail - are you taking this via postal service?

Good luck ...both our timelines are very close.

Where in Canada are you? BC here...

Congrats on the NOA2! Start calling NVC to get your case number. Don't worry if they haven't received it yet, it can take up to 2 weeks for them to receive and enter the case into the system. Just keep calling every day until you get it. Then talk to an operator and give them your email addresses so you can receive forms by email instead of through the mail all the way to Belgium. You'll need your case number, name and date of birth for both of you when you call.

This wiki page will be helpful (it also has the NVC phone number to call).. http://www.visajourn...he_NVC_ShortCut

Congrats to you guys !! Yup, keep calling NVC and get a case number. Once you do, you can give them your email addresses - they'll send you information via email but if you aren't eligible for electronic processing, you'll have to send your documents visa postal service etc....but you can receive them via email.

Good luck and best wishes for a speedy trip through NVC...

Hello January Filers.

So things appear to be going well. We paid our AOS ($70) fee April 10 and just today April 19 received out IV Bill ($400). However I have a few questions...

We haven't received any sort of I-864 packet yet. All we have done is payed the AOS fee, emailed in the DS-3032 form (confirmed), and now paid the IV Bill. Do we wait to fill out the Affidavit of Support until we get something in the mail or do I just fill out the form and send it in? Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks a lot.

Forget about waiting for the Packet from NVC, its NOT required at all. IF your AOS bill shows up as PAID in th payment portal, THEN you can print out the AOS cover sheet from the portal, and fill out the appropriate 864 form (regular, EZ or A). MAKE SURE to send in any and all evidence (IRS Tax transcripts, etc) depending on the version of the form you decide.

TIP: IF your IV bill is also showing up as PAID, THEN go ahead and send that in (DS-230 form+evidence) along with AOS form. SAVE some money!
