Yes, I just checked the stats... of the 75% of cases in Initial Review, 2401 cases have been transferred to local offices (presumably the cases that you've mentioned). But that's just little over 2%.

Anyways, do not look at my stats too closely... Some cases' status is over a week old.

If around 12000 cases (according to your statistics) are in initial review and about 2400 in that are transferred (still the status as 'initial review') then the actual pending cases in 'initial review' would be around 9600. So

2400 is about nearly 20% of the total cases in 'initial review' which will not be processed by CSC.

Thanks Zenaxe! Hope your approval comes very soon! Should be as it looks like they are getting through them pretty fast recently. Mine was actually approved on the 17th but it didn't show up in the system (on the website) until yesterday after I received the text message. When I got home from work the NOA2 hardcopy was sitting in the mailbox. So you might already be approved and could be further along than you think. That said I called NVC and no case number yet even though it's almost been a week since the actual NOA2.

I called the NVC, the operator told me that I should call them back after 2-3 weeks from the date the petition approved actually. It means if you saw your petition approved on March 19 then you can call them after April 2 or 3 (maybe earlier) who knows . Anyways I'm gonna call them back when I receive my hard copy.

Hey guys...I know most of you have gotten your approvals...and some are waiting...and are thinking about the next step...

EP or NO EP??

I was actually going through another VJ'er timeline..." Amit and Melody"...and I even PM her...and she did this...she contacted NVC and told them to send her all the forms via email...(like she said...she wanted to communicate via email)...so they ended up sending her all the forms on her email...and she was then able to send all her documents via FedEx...so in that way...she never officially opted for EP...that meant...she didn't have to go through scanning all the docs...making the file size smaller...so it gets through to NVC....etc etc...

So that's another option...in this way...we can get the documents faster...and we are able to send all the documents back via Fedex...

She was able to complete her case in 22 days...

I am still debating...I am just worried about the files getting rejected by NVC server as they might be big...and going through all the hassels of scanning...blah blah...

But I guess through EP...we save money not fedexing/tracking documents...

Not sure...but just thought I will post it here...so everyone knows theres another option as well that has worked!

Great Information!! Thanks. Yeah, I wonder what is the max size NVC will accept. As far as I know, my Yahoomail can send 25MB...and I'm pretty sure my scanned.pdf files for my AOS will all fit in one email.

I am planning on doing EP. The whole scanning files into the computer and converting them over to PDF Was real easy. I am ready to rock and roll with EP, only took a few hours to do it all. So as the files are needed I will just e-mail them off.

As for my e-mail I have hotmail...so I can only send 10mb at a time.

I've decided to file EP as well. Sounds easy enough *knocks on wood*.

My husband is going to begin getting his IV documents ready, so things are moving along slowly but surely. I guess I'll start scanning my documents. When I scan them, is it best to save as a .pdf? or .jpg?...and of course they would have to be saved as seperate attachment or does anyone know of some software to save as one file with multiple pages?

Hey there, make sure all documents including pictures are PDF... your scanner may have options to scan in many formats including pdf

You can get the DS3032, DS230 and I 864 forms from the dept of state site.

Re the billing, you pay the AOS bill of $70 and wait for processing, then they send you the IV (visa) bill for $400 - I'd send the other forms in ie DS230 etc...you know the flow of forms and payments right? I wouldn't send in other forms before the AOS bill is paid and the receipt of the DS3032, they need that first before they issue the visa bill so best to wait on those then fire away...

BTW, EP (=Electronic Processing) is available only for some countries like canada, china correct?
