Is AP nearing completion?

After over 5 months of my fiance being in AP in Lagos, I e-mailed the Lagos Embassy as I usually do (every 2 weeks for the past 5 months!) This time, instead of the usual response ("Your fiance's visa application is still in administrative processing"), I received a response that they wanted the names, addresses and phone numbers of relatives, neighbors and his place of employment. I had my fiancee e-mail them back that info the very same day.

I want to know, based on people's experience, if this is a sign that a decision is imminent and that the AP is almost over?

Did anyone have a similar experience? If so, how far off is a home visit at this point and a follow-up appt to return to the embassy?

I'd really love to hear from anyone that has any info to share....

Did you have he have a home interview yet? It usually take about two monts form home visit to interview 2.

Hi...thanks for replying....he didn't have the home interview yet...I think that's what they are planning to do now and that's why they're asking him to supply all that info.

But what concerns me is what you said. 2 months??? I've heard that it's more like a couple of weeks between the home visit and the time they call you back for a follow-up interview. Was your experience 2 months or is that the average that you've heard? This is for a K1 Visa...

I'ts real difficlu to average AP. Not enough information. That is what it was for me and a friend here on VJ. Take a month to rap things up. Then they call for the appointemtn which is a month away. Maybe 6-7 weeks give or take. Can't be more specific.

Oh...I'm so sorry to hear that...it's really scary that he was able to hide that side from you....where is he now? Are you guys still married or did you get divorced? It's so sad when any relationship ends badly but it's especially heartbreaking when you've sacrificed so much emotional energy, waited so long and spent so much money to be with this person and then it falls apart....I hope you have only good experiences in the future....all my best to you....
