Hi, My case was completed on Dec. 30th thanks to all the help I received from this forum. Now I wanted to see if there was anyway to speed up the rest of the process (wife's in London) so that she can get back before March (baby due in June).

Thanks for the help.

It is possible that the consulate may give an earlier date, but someones family planning decisions are rarely a good enough reason for an expedite in the US immigration system. The UK consulate recently granted an early interview date for another VJ member, but that had to do with a terminally ill relative wanting to be at the wedding...

It won't hurt to ask, all they can do is say no!

Good luck.

Hey guys.

So I called my congressmans office today and told them the situation and they put me on hold and the lady came back saying the interview has been scheduled for Feb 22!!!!

I cant beleive it, I am in shock right now. What do I do now? Does the consulate schedule her medical for her or does she have to?

Thanks

Excellent news! You schedule the medical, not the consulate. You might want to post on the UK forum to figure out how to do that as I think there are only limited places she can get the medical done

Congrats!

I know you have an interview date now - but -

You really should be checking CASE STATUS with DOS, ever since there was 'case complete at NVC' -

Call the DOS HOTLINE, Get A Human, and inquire:

1. current case status with date/time stamp of the current thing and

2. last 3 status changes, with status type, and date/time stamp.

I'm thinking that the interview scheduling was a 'normal event' - the IV Staffer/Liason at the Congressman's office really did not 'do anything' to get a Feb Interview Date.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
