On the immigration website is does specifically address DUI's as possible crimes for denial for the K1 and the K-3 if less 3 years ago, so looks like your safe. I did have a DUI charge had not problems getting married there. One other thing that you might want to consider is this, you can always have a ceremony here for your family his family will most likely not be able to come for that. That was one things that made me want to marry there, so that his family could also participate in the marriage as well. We will have another wedding once he is here for my family. The translation is way cheaper there and usually takes about a day. If you wanted to you could send everything there before hand and have it translated and ready for you when you arrive, just not too early. That helped with time to have it ready to go when I got there we started doing everything that needed to be done the very next morning. A wedding there is something to consider. They are definitely beautiful!

I agree, It can take some time to get married and a lot of patience as well. It took us about 9 days. $$ can knock a week off of the process ask, your fiance what I mean by that! If you do decide to get married make sure you have everything you need with you. Also make sure your fiance has spoken with someone that has went through the process and knows exactly each place he will have to go to exactly so your not be surprised by anything last minute and that will also be your ticket to the front of every line (hint hint) As for the K-3 Visa it went very quickly for me ( I had an attorney). Even his interviews were pretty much back to back (within a week of each other). Our K-3 is also in "AP" though. It the the Consulate that is the problem really!

God grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change;

courage to change the things I can;

and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;

Enjoying one moment at a time;

Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;

Taking, as He did, this sinful world

as it is, not as I would have it;

Trusting that He will make all things right

if I surrender to His Will;

That I may be reasonably happy in this life

and supremely happy with Him

Forever in the next.

Amen.
