An Ohio father is facing a felony charges for allegedly putting his 7-year-old daughter in the dryer, closing the door and turning it on, Fox8.com reported.

Prosecutors told the Cleveland2_bing.gif station after the girl told her school teacher her dad put her in the dryer, the school contacted children's services and charges were filed.

"There's no explaining this type of activity, why any individual would place any human being or any animal or anything in a dryer is unexplainable and to a normal thinking person, there's no explanation and obviously this man has issues," said Mike O'Malley, first assistant to Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason. "If you're capable of putting your child in a clothes dryer you're probably capable of a lot of horrible things."

Prosecutors say it wasn't the first time the girl, who has a condition that stunts her growth, was put in the dryer, Fox8.com reported.

Steve McClairin faces two counts of endangering children, felonious assault, kidnapping and domestic violence. He faces up to 33 years behind bars.

Maybe she was dry clean only.

Ok... Let me preface this by first stating the obvious... Yes, growing up I was a redneck... But when we were kids, I remember a few of us kids used to go for "rides" in the dryer... We had this one (well, we all had several in the yard) but this one inparticular at my friends house had a busted heating element but it would still spin... We used to take turns spinnin... I never did cause I was on the chunky side and afraid to get stuck! Glad they did not arrest any of us kids!!! Eventually her dad gutted it for parts and we tried it with another but my little brother almost got cooked.... so there went our fun...

Yeah, but that was voluntary. Speaking of growing up redneck - you know how rednecks teach their kids to swim? They throw them in the lake. My mother was born and raised in Texas....said that's what her dad did to her. Yeehaw.

I know of a few ppl who played in the dryer I did it too it was a great hiding place.

I also seen many ppl go out in boats and toss the kids over to learn how to swim, that one I always thought was a bit much.
