The former Governor of Alaska has an excellent grasp of the spatial distance between Wasilla AK and Vladivostok, Russia.

Can't she see it from her window or something like that? It's super impressive because from where I am on the north shore of Long Island I can't even see Connecticut. Wow. Alaska skies must be very very clear.

I guess it's just that more ignorant Americans travel than ignorant people from other countries.

Americans there are more of us than most countries, and the average American citizen is wealthier than citizens from other nations allowing them to travel. Before you try and argue that point, think about this, what is the % of Americans that have traveled to a foreign nation vs the % of citizens from India and or China.

Americans are not more or less ignorant than the populace of any other nation. It is just that you more likely to have interaction (in person, tv, movies) with more Americans than citizens from other nations.
