Well it's not like a two year thing, time is up. It's just what I need to do right now, because when I'm driving in the morning and dreading what I'll walk into... it's probably best to change.

It's not a bad job. I just have nowhere else to move, grow, and all of that stuff.

It's been a learning experience but I don't really think the private country club world is for me. There's a lot of politics... a lot of walls you run into. There's not a lot of room for movement.

Also... I just want more money. :P

I went and looked up a coffee image and thought I'd try to beat Carla to the punch, but got wrapped up in my work and forgot.

Enjoy anyhow! :thumbs:

Thanks for the coffee Carla!

Today is appliance buying day.

Good luck!

Don't tell my wife, but I'm rather looking forward to "furniture buying day" when I get down to our new apartment next month. :P

Of course! Is that odd? :unsure: There's no "let" about it!

We're pretty good at making mutual decisions on things like that. I'll often defer to her judgment...but when we decided on the layout of the new apartment, she drew up a remarkably accurate floor plan, and we determined the layout together. The end result incorporated many ideas from BOTH of us.

No, it's not odd, I was just giving you a hard time. You post things like "shouldn't that be a joint decision" and stuff like that a lot. :lol:

This calls for a poll!!

Do I? :o I hadn't noticed!

I guess I just hate the idea of a dominant partner in a relationship (bedroom notwithstanding). :P

Thats like my husband. He wants to be a part of the decorating when we buy our house... yes new house means new furniture, I'm tired of sitting on a hand me down couch and eating at hand me down tables.

The thing is, I send him links to reasonably priced furniture, and then he starts sending me links from the pottery barn and stuff. I'm not spending 500.00 on a rather plain coffee table.

Anyways I told him that this time he's going to have to trust me, and I would never buy anything he doesn't like, but I am great at stretching a dollar and we have set ourselves out a 'move-in allowance' and I will try to get the most out of that budget.

He gets the snobbery from his mother... :P It's ever so charming.

This morning, I am going to face one of my greatest fears. No, i'm not going to go swimming in search of sharks with lazers, that is for another day. But I am, going to donate blood. I have a very serious phobia of needles and this has been a problem for a while for me. I have very deep veins in my arms, so drawing blood from there is not really a possibility. They generally have to take it from the top of my hands, or on my upper arm, which is painfull, in addition to my fear. But this year, they are offering baskeball tickets if you donate blood, and my wife loves basketball, so I'm going to try. It's 45 minutes til my appointment......

Seems that many people have a fear of needles. Doesn't bother me at all personally - never has, what exactly is the fear, pain of a needle?

I can't watch them stick needles in people's eyes.

Lazer eye surgery was incredibly painful for me [the first round, they botched the eye cut], though so I imagine that's why eyes bother me a lot.

@muffinman: YOU CAN DO IT!

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."
