My fiance called about health care today since he's unemployed.

He's eligible for Cobra, not sure how long though.

We did find out though that he's also eligible for a special rate. Government pays 65% and we pay 35% of the rate. It's apparently part of a stimulus thing because of the economy.

Thanks Obama

Now we're waiting to see if he's eligible for unemployment... I really hope he is.

so I just got a call from the mechanic.. well, he is actually the owner of the place and he said my hubby's car is done and he was willing to drive it here today, if we could give him a ride back but I told him we could pick it up tomorrow... because we have to sign over our other car and stuff, might as well do it all at once... but I thought it was nice of the guy to offer.. we have been going to this same place for years now so they know us already...

so just over 700 dollars later we have our car back or we will tomorrow.... :)

I'm so excited!! I have a job interview on Wednesday!! It's only part time at a retail store, but I really feel legal! I can interview!

Good luck, Joyce!

I am getting drug tested tomorrow and when I pass that, I'll have a 3 month temp contract with the courthouse. :D

Oooh, how exciting! How did you find that job?

I got a drug test & physical test on Wednesday... Yay... Lol... The job offer is of course contingent on that. If I pass I start March 1st! Woohoo!

A physical test? What kind of job have you applied for? I'd fail that one for sure!

I just had a flashback to the nightmare of a job the home health service place I worked at. I worked in the office doing scheduling but also drug testing. Ugh... All of the "riggers" that would come in for their drug tests.... Ugh....then some of them would try to score a date at the same time...

What is a rigger?

Good morning everyone. It was raining cats and dogs here, earlier, but it's stopped now. I have lots to do, but no motivation. :(

Oh! And it's my second third anniversary! I think we're going to the movies. Happy Groundhog day!

Krikit- 90% of the drug testing clients that came in were either pre-employment or continued employment guys who lived in SK but worked the oil rigs in northern Alberta. The most interesting one was a DNA sample for child custody... Collecting that was a little hairy!

I'm honestly a bit worried about the physical too, I have back issues! It's a "safety sensitive" job working with youth ages 9-17.

Yummy coffee, Carla, thanks!!

I'll probably still be able to post sometimes. If I get this job it's only 10-15 hrs/week. That's ok. I have so much to do I couldn't handle full time right now.

LoL! Do I want to know what you thought they were at first? Haha!

I hope I do too! Unfortunately back problems run in both sides of my family... My genes were doomed from the beginning! LoL! I need to find a chiropractor down here and also find out if TriCare covers the cost. I'm only 25 & I have custom fit orthotics for my shoes!

Most people wouldn't know what a second third anniversary was without asking first. I find it funny that you don't have to explain it here.

I hadn't noticed the world coffee, either!
