Good morning everyone! I have a job interview this afternoon!! I am excited about the prospect of this job! We shall see...

I also have another one tomorrow, but I am still trying to figure out if the commute every day would be worth the salary....I shouldn't be complaining as I haven't worked since September...a job is a job..its in my field of work ...its $$.....But its definitely not something I want to do for the rest of my career either...Commuting 30 minutes each way not counting traffic...My car is very fuel efficient, but I would be filling up at least 1x a week if not more...there goes $100-120 in gas a month from my already crappy wages....*sigh*

Still haven't heard from the other interview last week! :crying: I'm going nuts in anticipation for all three jobs right now!

Lol The OS comment reminds me of every person I've ever known who runs some implementation of Linux

Some of us who use it don't lord it over the rest of you plebs. Er, oops.

In closing, there is no browser but firefox with noscript and adblockplus. Amen.

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

Lol Oh I actually use to run Linux in the ol' programming days, pretty much gave up now though. After getting home from work I usually don't even want to touch a computer Lol.

I love when I see newbs using it with the windows interface though and are completely unaware of how powerful it is in the back-end. It makes me die a little inside seeing it haha.

My wife has been back since June 5, 2007. Now we're just livin' man, L I V I N :)

I love the comments about how macs are unhackable or that they are invulnerable to virus'. Is that why the biggest vulnerability out there is actually an Apple brainchild (Quicktime)?

Yeah, those comments crack me up.

It's like pass it down the line.

Smart person: Well, realistically, if you're creating a virus/trojan it doesn't make sense to target Macs as the % of computers that use it is low.

person: I heard that Macs get less viruses made to attack them.

person: Macs get less viruses I hear.

person: Macs are UNHACKABLE and COMPLETELY immune to viruses!

I use several variants, including the wonderful text only kind.

I have a old pentium 75, with 64Mg of ram, and 200Mg HD sitting under my desk hosting a online voice chat application. It's been running for 200ish days, since the last time the power went out. I never need to reboot the thing "just because" and it's pounded by my friends all day (multiple timezone friends). It's running GenToo.

I use Knoppix or Ubuntu at home for my non-gaming machines. It's just easier to get setup. Tho my bil wants me to try another variant that looks pretty spiffy.

I really want an Alienware comp. I mean, REEEEEEEEEEEEALLY want one

Before Dell bought them out, they had some of the best service ever.

Now, it's just a dell with a diff logo.

Not saying I don't drool over them still tho. I'm just bummed at the service.

I've heard good stuff about WidowPC too. But I never bought one there. Yet.

so my hubby has an opportunity to take another shift... it would be a 4 days of 10 hours each day and he would start at 12pm.... the days would be Wednesday to Saturday... so that means he would have a 3 day weekend which is great for him.. the only problem I see in this is that I work Tuesdays which means I have to go to bed earlier on Mondays plus work Tuesdays.. so my weekend with him would be cut short...
