I am a Second Cup girl all the way! I don't really like Tim horton's coffee at all though we're going to go today so that my husband can have some Timbits... he's all on about them...

I like a medium or strong blend and sometimes a half strong and half flavour... especially if it's hazelnut!

mmmmmmm NOW you're talking!!

I'm a fan of Timmies!! But I rarely had coffee there after my late husband died. ( He bought us double doubles all the time) Tim doesn't drink coffee, so other than my couple in the morning..I really don't have too much through the day. Guess that's good, eh?

Spirit is coming to the Big Island for a visit and is going to house-sit while we're in Canada. I'm so stoked.

that's cool!! Nice peace of mind for you.

Morning.

Well I found a realtor for us and we're going out this weekend to start our hunt for homes. We're kind of stuck to looking in Mount Laurel though because we want to keep my son in the same district. I think he's had enough of switching schools anyways.

I am not excited about all of this house business, people keep telling me it's exciting. I don't think it is... seems like a whole lot of headache and a whole lot of debt to me, but I guess I'm a pessimest. I've done this before, I didn't like it then and I don't like it now. I am sure once it's over, I'll be happy... but right now... nope.

Well I'm off to work so I can pay for my "American dream"

Yes, you're right it is a bit of a headache looking at so many things. That's why it's important to get the right Realtor involved, someone who gets to know you, and knows what you're looking for. Then they don't take you to a lot of unnecessary showings. I think once you find "the one", that's right for you, you'll be more excited.

Are you less excited because of all the drama with other people getting involved? ie. the in-laws? Or are you really not wanting to buy a house? Sorry, I think I just must have missed why you're even looking for a house if you don't seem that interested. Is your husband wanting this more than you?

That was my first thought too....

Git out mah head!!! /tinfoil hat

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

Of course my husband wants this more than me. I don't really care about the in-laws, they bother me but they're not even a part of the thought process. They can do whatever they want, but it's our decision in the end.

I just see buying a house as a whole lot of headache is all. I guess the end result is great, but the process sucks.

Luckily the realtor is a member at my work so she knows me well and has always been one of my favorite people here.

My husband and I agree on what we want, so that's not an issue. My son's very excited.

Maybe part of it is the settling aspect. Okay we're not going back to Canada, okay we're staying in Mount Laurel (which is a great area btw) but it's just that I'm settling. I moved around a lot growing up, stability was always alien to me. It never bothered me though. I kind of went through the same emotions when we decided that it was time to get married. It's just the way I am.

I may kick and scream while going, but I'll get there. :P

Since Peachey and myself love pets, and are stuck at a place with a no-pet clause, we poked around last night at a fish store.

Our landlord told me, that they are ok with a small fish tank on the first floor - but really nothing else.

So, we picked up a fish tank last night!!

Going to start the process of getting the circle of life (yes, I'm singing the lion king song) going and get some fish later this week.

We're going to pick up a couple kinds!

aphyocharax_anisitsi_1.jpg

6 bloodfin tetras (they like small schools)

PristellaTetra_PristellaMaxillarisWFChT_AcF202.jpg

6 golden xray tetras (again, they like small schools)

DwarfGourami(PowderBlue)WFA_Ap8AF.jpg

1 powder blue dwarf gourami

DwarfGouramiWFA_Ap12Pc.jpg

1 banded dwarf gourami

HORAY FOR PETS!

Peachey has to try and keep me under control, I enjoy pets so much I'd probably get one or two of everything at the pet store if I could.

If I had a ranch and could afford it, I think I'd have a:

Rhinos, Hippos, Elephants, White&Bengal tigers, Leopards, Dogs & Cats - especially larger breeds - but anything rescued is fine, Hedgehogs (duh), Ferrets, Fish (especially puffers!), Eels, Turtles, and Birds

I'm super excited tho, because we get to have SOME kind of pet!!
