I'm pretty torn.

There's a flight at the end of this month from Seattle to Baltimore for $208 CDN, and I'm not sure if I should do it or not.

I mean, realistically there's a good chance I'll be scheduled for an interview for March, right? Meaning I'll be in D.C. permanently then... But that's still a couple of months away, and I'm already starting to miss my wife, even though we were together three weeks ago.

A March date is by no means a sure thing though. Then again, I'm trying to save as much money as possible. After factoring in gas and parking costs, the trip will be around $300, not including meals down there.

I'm really not sure if I should jump on it or not. That's a great price.

one time my hubby paid around 600 bucks for a plane ticket..

he called me up in the evening and said he had found out he had a couple days off that he had to take before the end of the year so we searched for flights and that was the cheapest we found..

he flew out a few hours after buying the ticket ..lol that was the first time we got to spend New Years Eve together so it was great

Yeah, we've been averaging once a month for the past several months now too. I know I could have held out and saved $300 towards other moving expenses, but with all the uncertainty around the scheduling date, and the UTTER certainty that it would be AT LEAST six weeks (likely more) from now before I'd see her again...combined with my own stir-craziness right now... It just made sense. And it's one hell of a cheap flight...operated by Alaska Airlines, no less (which I love).

the hubster always flew with Alaska... never had any problems.. and they always seemed to have the cheapest flights

I kind of miss those days in a strange way.... I mean I love that I am with my husband now, but I miss the excitement of the visits, how intense everything was.. counting down the days, hours we had left together as soon as he arrived.

I mean I wouldn't want to go back to it, but I look back on it and think things will never be like that again and only people who are in long distance relationships can really relate.
