Haha. It's funny...on MY wedding night, we had the wedding and reception at the same location: The Mansion in Buffalo. We also had a honeymoon suite there for two days. The reception ended at 10:00, and a bunch of the younger folks agreed to meet up at a nearby bar shortly afterward.

I'm curious...where did you get married?? Here in the South...you're lucky to even EAT at the reception. Ours lasted maybe 2 hours. We got there by 4:30 and left...( after the MAJORITY of the guests left) about 6:30- 7:00. We were SO hungry we went through the drive through at Wendy's!! No kidding. Everyone kept coming up to the head table to talk with us...and it was mainly finger food, not a dinner per se. Not at all what I'm accustomed too for receptions...

Oh, it was in Buffalo. It was really a combination of wedding and reception -- the wedding was at 6:00 (precisely!), and the ceremony lasted no more than fifteen minutes. It was in the downstairs portion of the building. So after the ceremony, we walked up the stairs to the reception room and did the assembly line thing. We had sixty or so people there, so it took a little while. Then we went outside and did a bunch of pictures while others were eating. In truth, I didn't really get much to eat that night, even though the reception lasted until 10:00! So many people to talk to... Somehow my wife managed to get food though. She told me afterward how good everything was. :P

Good morning! Still chilly here, and had about 2-3 inches of snow. You'd think we had 24 inches that way the News crew reports it. Still, lots of accidents as people don't know how to drive in the snow! I'm staying indoors today maybe, so I'll have a few cups of these before the days out!

Its hard to eat at a wedding isn't it? I think that was my only pet peeve. I was so excited about the chocolate fountain and I didn't even try anything from it. :(

hehe but I remember cutting one of our courses out because I wanted more dancing time. :P

Haha...I DID get a chance to hit the dessert table. It's too bad we didn't go through with our whimsical plan to have an ice cream bar a la Sizzlers though. We decided it would be too tacky.

But yeah...we spent a lot of time on deciding the menu, but I barely managed to eat any of it. I DID get the chance to try the ostrich though, which was neither overly bad nor overly good. Some meats are just...well...meaty. It was kind of like dry beef steak. I missed out on the lamb and roast beef, however. Ah well.

Ugh puking from drinking. Worst feeling ever. It's the only time I pray... and I'm an athiest.

Hahaha... Too funny.

I've only puked once from drinking...but I had a four-day hangover. That's ALSO the only time I've ever really had a hangover. Usually I can get drunk without having one. But this one time when I was in my early twenties I was hanging out with the band I was in, and we'd planned on just staying at my drummer's place, maybe have a few girls over and get drunk or something. So I'd bought a 26er of vanilla schnapps for the occasion, and started out drinking it straight from the bottle. Shortly after that, we decided to go to a house party at someone's place, so I carried the bottle with me, drinking from it along the way. By the time we got to the house party I realized I had drank the whole damn bottle to myself! I remember Chris, the drummer, saying to me, "Man, you must be pretty drunk..." which prompted me to PROVE to him that I wasn't, by walking a straight line and touching my nose with my eyes closed. I don't know how I did that... Needless to say, we headed out to a bar shortly after that, and they handed me some beers...and I barely remember anything after that. It was on the drive home that I threw up in the car. I was seriously sick for the next four days. I only threw up the one time though. But I can't bear thinking about vanilla schnapps...

I wish we only had 60 people! Then maybe we could've ate! We had somewhere in the neighbourhood of 200!! That was sure hard to plan when I lived 2500 miles away!! We ended up forgetting about a detail or two..

Funny...NO ONE thought to put a care package together for us. There was so much fresh fruit and I didn't get ANY of it.. :(

Awww. :(

We'd at least had some of her friends put some sushi in the fridge for us for later. It was quite fun, eating sushi (with our fingers!) after midnight in our honeymoon suite while opening all of our wedding presents.

We opened our when we got home. We were gone 3 weeks on a road trip. So our living room was piled with gifts waiting for us. I've STILL yet to find room for some of them...so I have them hidden behind the couch.. How embarrassing, we were marred in Sept....

*note to self...Get off computer*

Well, we're not having a reception, so we're having dinner instead.

20 people with a 5 course meal, yum yum.

I could go for some sushi though

Our's was a destination wedding at the beach on Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. We had an intimate dinner afterwards with about the same size guests too. Loved it.
