Welcome back, Darkchilde! Glad to know you're feeling better.

Marilyn, good luck with the new Ultra sound. Yeah, something definitely sounds out of kilter - you shouldn't be feeling like this still. Hope you're feeling better soon.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

so about the last time I talked to my boss which was about 2 weeks ago she said she would send me a check in the mail for the last day I worked.. so far I have not received anything..

I want to email her and ask but I think that might be rude in light of the circumstances..

Now why would it be rude? She owes you money which you worked for? Just phone and say I wanted to confirm that my last check is in the mail and if not, when will that be since it's been 2 weeks :)

Good morning. Today is my Friday. I'm taking tomorrow off and then a couple next week too so I can move and do all the fun stuff that goes along with it.

Last night we went and put the last coat on my sons room, and tomorrow Mike and I are going to paint our room.

What an exciting weekend we have coming!

I'm sitting here watching videos of the guy who got tased for running onto the field at a Phillies game the other night, and then I see someone did it the next night. I can't believe people are actually saying that is an excessive use of force. I still remember watching the game about 5 years ago where two drunk idiots ran onto the field and beat up a coach. I know that alcohol + sports is an equation for disaster, but you throw in a philly fan into that equation and it is like a nuclear bomb waiting to happen.

There are always those that cry about "excessive force" just because its the police.

Same thing would have been said Im sure if tazers werent allowed and they tackled them to the ground and roughed them up while getting them in cuffs.

Its just nuts

Exactly. Am I terrible for thinking that it was HILARIOUS that he got tazed? Looks good on him, maybe he'll learn to not be a moron next time.

The first guy who did it actually called his father right before and asked it. His father replied "I don't think it's a good idea". #######. If you're a parent, don't you say something mroe along the lines of "No, and if you do, i'll beat your ####### and kick you out of the house"? I think the 2nd guy who did it, the day after was just a moron, seriously, you know whats going to happen, why would you still do it? Don't drop the soap buddy.

well i've been busy lol. went and opened our bank of america joint accounts :) Also David's parents had their retirement party today for 45 years of service in the Salvation Army. And we are all getting ready to move at the end of the month! Tommorrow is mothers day and also this week is David's fathers birthday, along with his brothers wedding anniversary this month too.

And apparently there is this HUGE community garage sale this week and they are all excited about it??

Man. I have one boring life laughing.gif

LOL. dont worry soon it wont be so boring!

so random question here..

If a person is not religious , regardless of how they were baptized raised etc, and your at a religious function, how do you react when prayers etc are done?

I was baptized protestant, however, i dont believe in god, heaven hell etc etc.

My husbands family are salvationists, they are mostly officers in the salvation army, ministers etc. Today was my in-laws retirement. We get along great. But whenever i'm invited to any type of function like this that requires singing, prayers etc, i always feel out of place and somewhat hypocritical. As David noticed i had a deer in headlights look when they said to turn to page whatever and join in the song. Then there is the prayer, and everyoen saying Amen.

I just kinda follow along, and dont say anything, bow my head when i have to out of respect, but i just feel sooooo odd.
