I'm quite scared at the moment. My wife is out shopping with my mom and my aunt. I'm not scared that she'll run up a huge credit card bill. I'm scared that my mother has found embarassing pictures/videos of me from when I was a kid and is now showing them to her. I know my mom wants to show her, and my wife wants to see them. I swear if I get over to my parents house after work and they are all sitting around watching videos of me at a tap dance recital, i'm going to kill my mother.

 We mothers always know exactly where those "pictures and videos" are. We just wait for the right time to bring them out!

Heyyy guys!

Guess what?

I got a job!

So no more complaining from me

It's actually a funny story, I'm going to be an Insurance Agent... Yeah, I don't know anything about insurance.

But I applied for a receptionist position with this insurance company (Job interview #2 I mentioned last week) and I thought the interview went well and yada yada, but they never called so I assumed it didn't go as well as I thought it did. But they called me today and ask me If I would be interested in becoming an agent? She said she thinks that job would be a better fit to me skills and that I would be good at it. They're going to train and certify me and teach me everything, so I'm not supposed to worry that I'm completely in the dark. Hours are great, benefits are awesome, pay is pretty good, so I'm going to give it a try! Definitely something I never thought I'd do... But, I'm actually kinda excited about it. If I hate it then oh well, but it'll be cool learning something new!

I start Monday! :D

congrats!

Do you guys remember the video for that song? All those dancing Gray's Anatomy diagrams and neanderthals and the monotone narration?

I just spotted this picture on facebook, well this ad:

vancouvercollegead.jpg

At first I thought it was a joke, "V" college, spooky picture - but it's an ad for an addictions course at Vancouver community college.

Then I spotted this at photobucket and it just made me laugh.

I may not be drop dead gorgeous or a hot tamale... but I am comfortable in my own skin. They are not, and it shows through their comments and how much they focus on things like weight and looks. That's their misery though. I gained 40 pounds since I have lived here... so what. I'm happy.

I gained 35 after coming down so you know you are not alone.

I have always been worried about my family. That is why, I NEVER introduced women I was dating to them. My mother tends to talk way too much about the absolute most embarassing things of my childhood. I literally had to hide home videos when I brought my prom date to my parents house for pictures.

I was really worried over nothing. blush.gif My family already likes my wife more than me. But then again, that's not much of a surprise. laughing.gif

OMG my cousin said to me before we got married that he (my husband) was in and I was out lol.

Oh yaaa...

I found it hard to cheer for any team last night as the flyers were playing against the devils... but I think the flyers are the less of the two evils, but still couldn't help being a little gitty when the devils won.

Just end this season already! I'd like my husband back! He becomes an animal during playoff season growling at the tv and stuff.

We participated in the MS 5k Walk at DC today. We took the metro to the site (in front of the Canadian embassy too!!!), which meant we had to be up at 5:30 to make the trip to the metro and then to DC. My husband, who never wears brightly colored clothes, actually wore the orange MS t-shirt I made to show support for his cousin who was diagnosed with the disease in January. I am really touched :) It was a beautiful day to walk, and it meant a lot to his cousin that most of the family could be there.

Now I am back at work trying my best to keep my eyes open!

Finally married... and still married... ;)
