See, it's not so much the salon, its the girl I see... she just understands my hair.

I hate going in and trying to figure out what I want, and she just does what she does and I always feel great about it. I never got my hair done until I moved to Jersey, I had a part in the middle, hair was straight across, I used to hand my husband scissors and tell him to trim. But then when I moved down I went with him while he was getting his hair done and he went to see her and she looked at me and asked to cut my hair... so I reluctantly said yes... and that's when I became a little more vain when it came to my hair.

I fought for so long too... I fought it hard.

finland won, was unable to hear who else was playing.

There is a fine line between "crazy about hockey" and just plain...crazy.

Krikit - good luck with your haircut!! As penance you could get your Husband to cut it, maybe that would encourage him to move back to the Sunshine State. :hehe:

That's awesome. My hairdresser in Florida was inexpensive like that. She was really good, too. I almost want to drive down there. lol

When he lived in Canada with me, my husband used to come back to get his hair cut by this woman. It's so hilarious, his hair isn't complex at all, but he refuses to let anyone else touch it.

So you could go back down there.

Or go to the house of lords when you're in Toronto! They're super amazing there.

So I asked my mom to write me a letter of affidavit about my husband and I's relationship for the AOS interview.

She asked me when I had first met him and stuff, and I told her "YOU met him in blah blah blah."

Because I totally met him without my parents knowing the year before they met him, and they STILL dont know I did!

Whoops.

Ohmygosh, the House of Lords. I remember them! lol

My friend moved to Barrie (before it got crazy big), but always came back to Toronto to get her hair done. She was complaining about the drive and I said..... a bit naively, I might add..... "Why don't you find a hairdresser in Barrie?" She said "Have you SEEN everybody's hair in Barrie? I'd have to get a pink tracksuit and snowboots. No WAY I'm getting Barrie hair."

oh god my husbands 79 year old grandmother decided to get a facebook.

She doesn't get it at all, she doesn't realize that her name and face show up beside what she writes so she need not sign off on every post with "love granny" and then she started friending all of my husbands friends.

She posts questions and answers and sends messages through a status update... not really knowing that everyone can read it.

Luckily she never friended me, I wouldn't accept. :P But every day my husband is like: "Oh my god, sign into my account and read what my grandmother just said.."

LMAO!!! I almost spit my coffee after reading that...

I went to the House of Lords once... my friend's hairdresser does a fantastic job on her hair so I asked to make an appointment to have him do my hair. Well he didnt show up and I got stuck with this other person... who thought Id look cute with anime hair (ie. chunky, choppy cut, with BRIGHT RED STREAKS all over). Mind you, I knew I was getting highlights and I told her SUBTLE... but she disregarded all of it. I actually loved the look... but I just could not face 48 biochemistry students sporting anime hair, so after I paid 200 dollars for my hair, I went to shoppers to buy black hair dye and went home very poor.

Hair Cuttery is not awful, just depends on who cuts it. My coworker's stylist does a magnificent job (cut/color) on her hair, though the stylist worked on a chic salon before going to Hair Cuttery. I've only had bad experience with them, so I am never coming back! Good luck on your appointment Krikit!

Finally married... and still married... ;)

Heyyy guys!

Guess what?

I got a job!

So no more complaining from me

It's actually a funny story, I'm going to be an Insurance Agent... Yeah, I don't know anything about insurance.

But I applied for a receptionist position with this insurance company (Job interview #2 I mentioned last week) and I thought the interview went well and yada yada, but they never called so I assumed it didn't go as well as I thought it did. But they called me today and ask me If I would be interested in becoming an agent? She said she thinks that job would be a better fit to me skills and that I would be good at it. They're going to train and certify me and teach me everything, so I'm not supposed to worry that I'm completely in the dark. Hours are great, benefits are awesome, pay is pretty good, so I'm going to give it a try! Definitely something I never thought I'd do... But, I'm actually kinda excited about it. If I hate it then oh well, but it'll be cool learning something new!

I start Monday! :D

Woohoo! Awesome!

A friend recently started working someplace where she was going to be a temp while her friend went on maternity leave. She had an interview, didn't hear anything, then had another interview with the same person, asking the same questions. Come to find out later, friend on leave will be transitioning from full time to part time, and they wanted to hire her as a permanent second employee, rather than as a temp. :P

That was hockey hair back in the day. His hair is just longer than most boys. :P

He really should get a mullet, channel is inner Mike Bossey

I had a mullet once, because I lost a bet. I had to keep it for a week, but ended up keeping it for a couple months because it was so cool.
