The first time I tried Canadian Miracle Whip I almost gagged and died. It tastes SOOOO different from the one I have in the States. Of course, Mathew almost passes out when he has American Miracle Whip, but still.

It just amazes me how things with the same name can taste different in other countries. And that restaurants that we have in both countries will not serve the same food.

Take KFC(PFK, whatever). In the states they have mashed potatoes. Here, they serve fries or something(at least if Mathew is right and not trying to shock me to death).

I`m just like :wow:

I cried when I found out that KFC in Canada didn't have mashed potatoes. :(

Montreal: BEAT!!! Approved!!!!!

Question....

How long do Passion Flakies last???

I have one (Still wrapped!) in the cupboard, that I can't bear to throw away, because it's my last one and I can't get anymore

I have the same issue with the one box of President's Choice Deluxe White Cheddar Mac & Cheese mix that I sent to my hubby last year. He saved it so we could eat it together, but now that I can't buy any new boxes, I have been saving it. lol Haven't found a special enough occasion to break it open yet. I know it won't go bad though, so I'm lucky. I used to eat this stuff ALOT. Like, once or twice a week, and never got sick of it. Mind you, about 20 lbs of it is still sitting on me, ifyaknowwhatImean. Sigh. It's my nemesis.

Let me tempt you all. *drool*

I cried when I found out that KFC in Canada didn't have mashed potatoes. :(

It`s heartbreaking. On my first visit I was craving KFC mashed potatoes so bad and I even pulled out my cute face so that he would take me and all I got was "mashed potatoes? "

Now everytime I`m here and we drive by I tell it that I`m sorry it only serves fries. I mean, really! Fried chicken and fries DO NOT go together. Only St. Hubert and Scores can pull the chicken and fries thing off well.

At least my wedding is taking place in the town that has the very first KFC so the Canadians can go sightseeing and find out what the good stuff is.

I can`t believe I just made an entire rant about KFC. :bonk:

There are few sites that mail Cdn goods around the world. Ur probably better off just asking a family member to mail stuff.

Finally won something on roll up the rim to win--a coffee!!! So I'm 1/20 thus far,lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I had the most messed up dream.

I dreamt I was a part of a spaceship crew and we went to another Earth-like planet. It was super small, like you could walk around the whole thing in a few days, it was completely uninhabited, but there was a house on it. So we stayed at this house while they did experiments and stuff. But when it came time to leave I begged the crew to let me stay on the planet because I didn't want to go back to Earth because Earth was gross and full of unfriendly people.

Anyways they let me stay and promised to send me capsules of items once a month.. so I stayed.

I mean... #######... I love messed up dreams.

I'm back just about every month anyway so I stock up when I'm there.

I just found the site nice to look at...looking and imagining myself devouring a Caramilk bar is much easier than eating it then trying to run off the calories!

Just environmental experiments, gathering soil samples and stuff... it was such a realistic dream though.

Ok well, I have mentioned before that I edited a book for this man once, it is called the Arc the Arcans and Man. The reason he wrote the book? Because of an incredibly realistic dream he had back in the 70s.

Will be looking for your upcoming book Nev!
