Do they have a doughy like shell? That's what i'm used to. I find the pasta noodle textured shell weird..

Mrs. T's! I think those are the ones I tried. I did not like them at all!

so one of the little boys I babysit who is going to be 5 in May is still getting his teeth brushed by his dad... is this odd or is it just me?

he can do basically everything else by himself like getting himself dressed etc...

I don't have kids, so I don't know. BUT, my one girlfriend who was a dental hygienist said she's going to brush her kids' teeth until they are 10 because kids are notoriously bad brushers. I think its a little nuts, but if it saves them a root canal or two when they're older I guess its worth it.

Yeah, my Sister is a tooth brushing fanatic (and that's not a bad thing) - while she may not have brushed their teeth until they were 10, I can't tell you how many times i've heard her say to them "brush your teeth".

I was at Wegman's today, was getting some lunch meat from their deli, and saw they had Canadian Bacon made by Hartmann's (?)

It was bigger in size than some of the other brands I've seen, so I got 1/2lb for dinner.

It was actually very good!

Of course, when I ordered it, I asked for Back Bacon and got a funny look :D

And if anyone is near the DC area and wants poutine, try Jimmy's Old Tavern in old town Herndon.

Just ask for extra gravy and cheese (they actually use curds). It's sooooo good :D :D

I brushed my sons teeth until he was 10... I did give him the chance to do it himself and then I'd go in and tell him I was just going to get the spots he missed.

He's 11 now and once in a while I still do it.

My husband and I just beat bowser, I beat the game last week but this is the first time we did it together.

It's weird, I get sad when he falls into a lava pit, even though I know it isn't real.

 Super Mario for the Wii perhaps? Bill and I tried about a million times to beat Bowser together but I ended up having to do it myself while he floated around in the bubble. He'd fall behind and fall into the lava every time! Kinda sad but also rather annoying

I bought a DS last week, as mentioned elsewhere...and the first game I bought for it was Civilization Revolution. I've gotten through it twice now, and I have to admit that I felt a little surge of impish glee when I was playing as Gandhi and sending masses of tanks rampaging through German, Mongolian, French and Roman ranks. :P

Oh I want that now

It's damn good. My first game was on the easiest level. I opted to use the Spanish (Queen Isabella), and I won by a "Domination Victory", which required the capture of all four foreign capitals. It took about three or four hours overall, and was fairly easy. My second game was on the next hardest difficulty, and I decided to use the Indians (Gandhi). I really wanted to have an entirely peaceful game, going for a Cultural or Economic Victory, but the other nations kept waging war on me. For most of the game I really thought I wasn't going to win...but I'd happened to learn how to make tanks long before any of the other nations did, and happened to stockpile them on all my cities. When it looked like the Romans were going to win the game via a Cultural Victory, I made a mad dash for their main city (which happened to be Syracuse, rather than Rome) and sacked it, thereby taking some of their "great people". From there, I was able to reduce the power of the Germans and the Mongolians, and ultimately won a Cultural Victory myself. THAT game probably took about ten hours, overall...but one of the REALLY nice things about a DS is that you can simply close it up and put it down at any point, then open it up again without having to reboot it from a menu screen etc.

Oh man. I can't believe I just wrote a long paragraph about a game. This can't be a good sign. :(
