What kind of BBQ did you get Krikit? We need one still.

We bought a kenmore, nothing flashy, no side burners or anything (I don't like them) - I would post a link but I guess they are sold out as I can't find it.

Toilet roll holder on the back of the door, seems very old school, but since it is an old house, maybe that is why.

Ohh renovating the bathroom, it's not fun that's for sure, anything to do with lining up plumbing is not fun! But good luck, i'm sure it will be beautiful when you are finished.

It's always funny buying a not-new house, you look at stuff and ponder why....why did they do that. With these people it's kind of funny, they ALMOST did things right in some cases, just always missed the mark. For instance, there are lino tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms (I hate lino tiles - but anyhoo) - they just didn't quite get any of them lined up right. They are certainly not the ugliest tiles in the world, but they are a mess here.

They painted all the walls a neutral colour, hard to describe really, it's like a non colour - it's kind of a cappacino really - which in and of itself is not a bad thing - and the ceilings are white. But they painted everything the same colour. The skirting boards, the doors, they even painted the inside of the upstairs medicine cabinet that colour lol - so there is no contrast, it's just so incredibly....bland.

It's kind of this colour:

Now the bedrooms are a different matter, I know I mentioned the master bedroom is lavendar, don't think I mentioned that all the trim is pink lol

is that good or bad?

http://www.drugs.com/prilosec.html One can buy Prilosec over the counter. Hard to say in the hospital setting how effective it is as pts can be on so many medications, plus with all the extra stress of being in the hospital, extra gastric "juices" are made!

Every drug one takes has it good things and its bad things! Most of the time, no one has a problem/reaction to that drug, but their is always that chance one could react negatively to it

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Poor Mathew had all 4 of his wisdom teeth cut out this morning. :( It was the quickest procedure I've ever heard of. He got there at 9 and was home by 11am. This is also considering that Montreal is about 30 minutes from Laval(depending on traffic) so I'm all like .

I was feelin pretty sad because he's hurting so I went out and bought him Final Fantasy XIII. He wont get it until next Saturday, but he's still pretty excited about it. Only 8 more days until I see him, 11 until his interview. Whee!

it only took my surgeon 20 mins to cut out my wisdom teeth.. it's a quick procedure if the Dr. knows exactly what they are doing.

okay i've had a lot of wine tonight. So fun.

Yes! Lots and lots of good luck!! I'm getting so nervous about it though. I know that everything will be fine and stuff, but just the general anxiety of it all is getting to me. I'll probably throw up on the door guard or something.

I haven't had mine cut out so maybe that's why it seemed so quick to me. The doctor definitely knew what they were doing because he's not in any pain hardly. A girl I work with just had hers out and she was hurting and eating soft foods for almost 2 weeks.

I agree with you there Trailmix! I've been experiencing the same stuff with our place. The last homeowner attempted to update everything, which is great, but some of the changes they made have me really wondering what they were trying to do! Like the kitchen has new kitchen cabinets, but none of the cabinets on the bottom have shelves in them. So, I can only put stuff on the bottom, meaning the storage space for my pots and pans is extremely limited. They also didn't bother finishing the edges, so you have nicely finished cabinet doors and faces, and then the sides are just like your standard sheet of rough wood. Then, they put hardware on half of the doors and left the other half without... And the grout in the tiles is starting to come up, like they had no idea how to mix it and apply it so they just made it up as they went along. Easy fixes but really, it just makes you laugh. But I must say that lavender walls with purple trim is the best!

I hope Matthew feels better soon Kayla! :)

My wisdom teeth experience was pretty bad. I let them grow in way to far, and it took them an hour to remove all 4 surgically. I was under for an hour and a half, came too, and then had an allergic reaction to the stuff they used to put me under, and then I ripped my stitches... Ugh. That was a rough experience!

Glad you're feeling better Marilyn :)

As much as I didn't go to Tim Hortons, I do miss it.

Especially the Iced Cappuchinos and the sandwiches.
