I, personally, am going to miss -30ºC. It makes me sad to think about not having to start my car half an hour before work, and the joys of stepping outside and almost choking on the cold air.

p.s. I really shouldn't complain, Edmonton is unseasonably warm for this time of year right now ... if only it would stay like this all winter!

I live in the Vancouver area, so mild winters are the norm around here...but even so, when I was visiting my wife in Washington in early November and was walking around in twenty-degree weather in a t-shirt and shorts...well, I knew what heaven felt like. :P

Gotta love a place where winter is truly only three months long...and the rest of the seasons are frequently warm, if not hot.

Me smug?! Well I never. :P

To be honest, I remember living in Edm in the dead of winter, taking 20 minutes to shovel out my car, warm it up to drive 15 minutes to work. Then having to hear Chris whine about how hot and humid it was. I swore I'd never rub it in to others.

oh my god. I'm just watching 16:9, part of the news. It's about people abusing animals and I have to say, people who abuse children or animals are just freaking sick. Most awful I've seen in awhile -- made me really, really upset.

People should go to jail for a very long time if convicted of stuff like that. Those poor dogs and cats and roosters and stuff.

Oh no. I am going to be a Marylander soon too, please don't say that! I am hoping to have access to as much fruit there as I do here.

I loves me some mangos...

Oh well, I will make do. I tend to stick to apples, bananas, grapes and oranges but mangoes are my FAVE 'exotic' fruit.
