So I got a call this morning....

I GOT AN OFFER FOR THE JOB!!!! Conditional on my education and fingerprints

I had to laugh about the fingerprints, thinking, if the gov't can give me a greencard, I should be a shoo in for the job

YAY :) Congrats.

Are you guys still going to the air show in Reading? I'm trying to convince Varba to go this year.

12/31/2009 - Marriage

07/21/2010 - AOS approved

08/04/2010 - Green Card received (and it's actually green!)

05/30/2012 - Sent ROC packet to VSC

06/08/2012 - Received NOA1 for ROC (Dated 06/04/2012)

Thats great news! I know he'd rather be working, as would I, but I am very thankful for EI, I hope to never have to use it again!

Yay!! Not silly at all, a real accomplishment. I'm not a techie by any means, so I'd be feeling proud of me too. My problem is...I"m on wireless, and I don't have a c.d drive on my laptop, so I can't print anything off. I'd have to "hook" the printer up anyway...too much trouble. But Tim doesn't support microsoft office on his so it's hard to get anything printed off anyway... :( Oh the fun we have with technology!

my laptop is wireless too.. all i did was upload the printer driver that I found online onto the laptop.. and then you have to make sure printer sharing is enabled on both computers...

not sure if this would work for you.. all depends on how your computers are set up and which OS you are using... both our desktop and laptop use Vista...

Hi Everyone!

I haven't been around for the past few days, buying a house is a lot of work!

We bought a fridge that has the freezer on the bottom and I really like it, I have had one before but that was a few years ago.

Ohhh sounds cool! I saw some like that at the Depo and they look pretty cool. The bottom storage actually seems larger than the side by side system so you can accomodate some of the larger items. Our fridge is from like 1980, so we're thinking we might want to replace it in the not so distant future. Right now we're having fun buying furniture for the place! Unfortunately it seems like everything requires some kind of assembly, so poor Bill has been working hard! Furniture assembly, putting up window coverings, changing light fixtures, replacing hardware... he's going to be my handsome handy man at the end of this :P

We bought some nice front load washer and dryers yesterday, but they aren't being delivered until Thursday. I want them now!

That is an old fashioned term. I've only heard it from oldsters here.

we do have a washer and dryer right next door but I rarely use them.. it costs a dollar to wash and a dollar to dry.. the washing machine is so tiny and I can barely fit anything in there.. so I go to the laundromat down the street.. 3 bucks for a triple loader, 2 bucks for a double loader...

I can imagine how annoying using the laundry mat would be! Bill and I had an agreement when we decided to move that I needed my own washer and dryer, no matter where we ended up and he agreed. So I got my way! But yeah, those things aren't cheap! We paid like $1,800 for both and they were on sale and one of the cheaper sets there. You can easily spend $3k on a washer/dryer.

Ugh I wish! Our single load wash in the building is $2.50 and a dry is 25 cents for 5 minutes. The laundramat is no better! $1.75 for a single wash ($3.50 for double) and 25 cents for 8 minutes in the dryer.

I cannot WAIT to have my own washer/dryer.

My fiancé says "gal" all the time. It used to crack me up but now Im used to it.

He's not an oldster lol he's just 33... but he's from Nebraska so maybe that explains it! ;)

After years of using the ones in the basement of my apartment building, having a W/D at home was the ultimate luxury!!
