Congrats Bern and Wyatt for your spouse's promotions. Nice to have that happen just before moving down and all..

I got an email from my wife about twenty minutes ago saying, "Did you post about my promotion on Facebook??" To which I replied, "Yes, I did...why?" Well, it turns out that she hadn't told her parents yet, but her sister is on Facebook and saw my status update and immediately called her parents to tell them about it...and of course her parents hadn't heard yet! Eep!

Damn you, Facebook! I was just excited about it is all...

My wife's not mad. But I DID inadvertently steal her thunder. Oops. :(

I just tried Dominos's so called new pizza.

(Yeah I know, few months late)

And I must say I'm quite impressed. Crust is good, not too much cheese, good toppings and lots of sauce.

Just the way I like it.

I preferred their old pizza! I found the new one to be a bit more greasy!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Yeah, I noticed that.

I think they spread some sort of garlic butter/spread stuff so I think that makes it a bit more greasy.

So I already got a call back from the HR Person and they are starting the background check!

They need copies of my T-4 and degree from Trent though because they don't have the ability to get them

Congrats J&K!! Sounds like your hired!

Praying for Krikit's mom, hope her family is doing well.

-The dominoes pizza crust tastes like the same seasonings they brush on their breadsticks. Tastes fine to me, but maybe they could be more creative! LoL... Maybe it's diff....I dunno... Just sayin'

awwww I'm glad she understands. It's hard to hold back excitement. At least for the all the future announcements, you'll be together and you can ask "did you tell your parents yet? Yes? Good" *Wyatt runs to facebook, and Visa Journey*....

My cousin decided to 'come out' on facebook... it was a total disaster. Her parents were so sad she didn't just come to them first and then tell the rest of the world

I hope your mom feels better Krikit.

Congratulations to everyone who or who has a spouse that got promoted!

I spent the entire morning with the MVA -- more of that later as I have to teach in half an hour. All I can say is, thank god I dont have to deal with them again.

AAND I am so sad that the Canadian women curlers were defeated by Sweden last night. Curling is my favorite olympic sport this time (partly because I cant stay up so late to watch the figure skating AND its a sport where its all strategy and forethought) and Ive followed all the games. I was so sad they lost, but Im soo proud of them. I am also glad that they weren't bitter about their defeat and accepted their silver gracefully.

Finally married... and still married... ;)

hard to be bitter when Bernard chocked!!!! All she had to do in the 10th end was hit the yellow 1 out, but she choked, lol It wasn't a super easy shot, but not that difficult either. Then she had a chance again in the 10th, and yes that 1 was a bit trickier. Oh well, The mens game should be better
