I wouldn't have wanted to work for you anyways after THAT!!! I declined another position (would have started march 1st) because of THAT job offer... (was in the VENT thread) lol.

50 Douche points have been awarded to Shane, putting him in the lead for today's honor

You know...I was wondering who that was. Given the fact a lot of the "talented members who come up with screen names"are on these boards .. "shane" could have been anyone...

However, after backreading a little more....*snickers* I found out!

Mmmm. Unagi.

I had deep-fried california rolls covered with unagi sauce at lunch yesterday. To die for! I was making Lgg envious last night. :P

That's actually the second time this week I've had sushi, too. I still miss the place I used to go to in Burnaby, though. Chances are I won't get the chance to Sushi Garden before I leave for good. Oh well! Yamazoto in Alexandria is good, though it's a bit pricier than what I'm used to up here.

Okay Wyatt, you gave me the sushi bug SO bad that i was running my last minute errands and decided that I would treat myself to sushi for lunch as I have zero food here now. So, I went to the closest sushi place near me and I walk in and every single table is covered in garbage and soda cans and styrofoam containers and stuff. I kind of stood there and the waiter came over and wanted to seat me and I asked what had happened and he told me, "oh the highschool kids had been in for lunchtime...."

I opted to leave as I kind of am a bit of a stinge when it comes to eating out and I just did NOT feel like eating amidst the trash. I ended up getting a sub from Subway. It was good but it was NOT sushi.

so, I spent the entire day running around like a maniac -- I had to return my internet modem, my lovely neighbor gave me her password so I could piggyback on theirs for tonight and tomorrow a.m. very nice.

I CANNOT believe I am POEing tomorrow. I have decided not to give the cat any drugs or anything -- we are going to just grin and bear it.

If my flight isn't cancelled or some such thing, I will be thrilled with that. I am exhausted right now.

I want to cry with all this sushi talk :( I MISS SUSHI SOOO BAD. Not that there arent good sushi places here... they are far away! Man for 15 dollars for lunch, I can good quality sushi and sashimi at Yonge Street. I have yet to find a good Asian neighborhood in this area... there is this place called Han Arum (spelling?) in Ellicott City but its like garden variety Asian food and its more street food quality. There is this one Japanese restaurant two blocks from my house... but I really dont trust it :P After all, this is Federal Hill hahahahahaha

I cant wait to visit TO again and stuff my face with sushi and kbbq!!! OMG all you can eat kbbq!!!! *DIES*

OMG I'm SO glad someone else knows about and loves Sushi Garden! It's really the best balance of quality and price. Yeah...two people can get stuffed to the gills for $20 total. It's great! I love their "Ikamite" roll...which is cuttlefish tempura (kinda like calamari) in a special kind of sauce. *drool* I've probably eaten there thirty times. When my wife was over (when I lived in Burnaby) we went there at least twice each time. Anyone in the Greater Vancouver area who loves sushi and saving money owes it to himself / herself to check out Sushi Garden.

I bring hubby there almost everytime he comes up.

Since paying $30 USD for 6 pieces of razor-thin salmon sashimi in Las Vegas a couple of years ago, I have never taken Vancouver's sushi restaurant landscape for granted again.
